…The Hoover Dam opened in 1935 in the middle of the Great Depression and it opened 18 months early, and during the Great Depression – we built our way out of it. We made all this cool stuff,” Maddow said. “And now we’re like, ‘Oh we’re broke. We can’t do anything…

the big dig

…If rachel and her friends were alive when the hoover dam was being built, they would have chained themselves to some tree, or fish, or house….you get the message. Then, if that failed, they would have complained about how all of the contractors were big fat cats just looking to make a ton of cash while paying their work next to nothing. Then, after the first person was injured or killed they would have closed it down. It would have turned out to be billions over budget, you know like that Big Diggy thing in MA, or that railroad project that Gov. Cristie put stop to. Or like the new Joe Biden train station that, yes, you guessed it was millions over budget. Face it, you “progressive” thinking types are against progress at every turn…

Typical ignorant Lib, who can’t see that her ilk would have never allowed Hoover Dam to be built, period, because the concrete dust would choke the Colorado darters downstream, two Indian cliff paintings would be immersed, not enough minorities would be in management, and besides we screwed the Indians out of that land 150 years ago and we should take the dam money and pay reparations to the Chicagochigooknuk Indian tribe and build them a casino there instead.

Yaq think the country is finally getting it about these ‘progressives’. What misery it is to have them in these United States?

And what is it with the freeking Boehner (boner) House and the ‘ruling class’ Repubs who have totally forgotten we just had a mega-never before in history change in the House and all around the country for that matter dumping progressives and bringing on ‘tea party’ conservatives who said “Get this country rolling again and don’t take no for a answer.” and they are STILL scarred carp because of some statement the stinkest of demon-crats, Chucky Schumeshitz, brings up the ‘shutting down the govenment’ scare TO THEM! Ha! Can you believe it? And they call in Newt!!!????W.T.F. is that?????!!!! Newt would sell us all down the river in a heartbeat! Talk about a RHINO. Gad. Horror.

The same scare stuff they do to the voters they pull on the party who has had a massive mandate nation wide, Federal, State and Local from the people that basically says we don’t give a damn if the gubbamint shuts down! These bastards in both Houses are playing battered wife syndrome with the voters and quite frankly I’m a breath away from going postal on Boners office and others as well.

They’re setting us up for taking who they want again by running Mitt. It’s gonna be dejavou all over again. We are in $14 TRILLION DOLLARS OF DEBT, working our way toward $20 TRILLLLLLION.

And we have freeking whips aruging about a $10 Billion Dollar cut for this whole year????? This is insane. As Trafficant would say: “Beam me up Scotty.”

We are broke because you and your politcal wrecker allies spent all our money on “cool stuff.”

Fucking hell, we just need to wall in a few states for liberals and put walls up, with guards on them. I’ll move.

Merovign: The libtards do not get entire states.

They get blue counties only. And when they finally get brave and cause trouble, we will declare war on them and nuke them from orbit.

It’s the only way to be sure.

    Typical Prog/Lib generosity …
    using other people’s money.
I’m not broke, because you still have money I can steal.

Let’s give the libbys a Mount Rushmore-sized piece of rock, and invite them to get all the minimum wage workers they can find to carve it into a likeness of Rachel Maddow.

We’ll pay when the job is finished.

When we hear “Progressive,” we keep forgetting to ask, “Progress toward what?

Back then we didn’t have the excessive environmental laws and regulations not passed bu congress, unions to jack the wages to the clouds, multitudes of overlapping jurisdictions who each can shut down a project in the courts, predatory lawyers seeking to invent new areas to litigate at our expense, bizarre regulations on the purchasing and transportation of materials and products, taxation from every corner of the land, labor and safety laws to prevent work instead of just protecting the workers, not to mention the mountains of paper that accompany each of these bureaucracies.

Well, I like her style….and I think she has something there…..we need to have some projects to get people working….I think it would be great if we banded together and built one or two “Supper Refineries”……..yea…..and we could follow that up with a shit load large quantity of oil rigs that would bring all the outsourced petro jobs back home…….and I bet that if the gubment would just fast track the permits and wash all the worthless green crap of the regulations, some investors would actually pay for the construction and it wouldn’t cost the taxpayers a dime…….yea Rach, way to go…….

As soon as the gubment takes over the land and is drilling gubment oil wells and building gubment power plants and the gubment railroads for gubment high speed trains and gubment air ports– and gubment housing– with union workers — than they’ll geterdone– no problem–

Every time I have watched her I’m left shaking my head and mumbling to myself ” it’s not true, the fact don’t add up”
    I really can’t stand her.
