Captain Bullshiite Does an Oopsie

this came out a little soon, no?

[After waiting two weeks,] Obama insisted that prospects were grim without intervention. “If we waited one more day, Benghazi . . . could suffer a massacre that would have reverberated across the region and stained the conscience of the world.’’ Thus, the president concluded, “preventing genocide’’ justified US military action.

“One more day” *whew* That was close! We “rode to the rescue!” Just like the cavalry! Ok — Buffalo Soldiers. whatever. The point is: Yay!

EVIDENCE IS now in that President Barack Obama grossly exaggerated the humanitarian threat to justify military action in Libya.

uh oh.

But Human Rights Watch has released data on Misurata, the next-biggest city in Libya and scene of protracted fighting, revealing that Moammar Khadafy is not deliberately massacring civilians but rather narrowly targeting the armed rebels who fight against his government.

Human Rights Watch — those raaaacists!!

…intervention did not prevent genocide, because no such bloodbath was in the offing. To the contrary, by emboldening rebellion, US interference has prolonged Libya’s civil war and the resultant suffering of innocents.

So O’Bambi’s “kinetic military action” actually killed folks created local JobsJobsJobs in the fields of small excavation, textiles and carpentry. Yay!

No drama — it’s already been handed off to NATO or the UN or …*someone* Let’s talk about “automatic spending reductions!”

It is hard to know whether the White House was duped by the rebels or conspired with them to pursue regime-change on bogus humanitarian grounds. In either case, intervention quickly exceeded the UN mandate of civilian protection by bombing Libyan forces in retreat or based in bastions of Khadafy support, such as Sirte, where they threatened no civilians.

“My dupe is an innocent dope?” “My dope is an innocent dupe?”

By the time Obama claimed that intervention had prevented a bloodbath, The New York Times already had reported that “the rebels feel no loyalty to the truth in shaping their propaganda’’ against Khadafy and were “making vastly inflated claims of his barbaric behavior.’’

Oh dear. Even the notoriously raaaacist NYT, then?

Srsly. Is anyone surprised?

Horrified? Yes.
Sad? Yep.
Rueful? You betcha.

But surprised? not so much.

How bad off are we that such a thing is not a Major Freaking Scandal — World Wide?

I’ve been saying this for weeks. We forced a stalemate, and the Libyan people are caught in the middle.

I also said that teh mole would vacillate between taking credit and denying responsibility, depending on which way the wind blows. But it wasn’t like I was going out on a limb. That’s just the way he’s played every crisis. And always will.

So where do we go from here? The rebels don’t have the strength to oust Qgkaddhaffiy, even with NATO airstrikes. The choice is to abandon them (unlikely) or send in some “boots on the ground”. Maybe this time teh mole will ask Congress for permission.

I used to think the Clintons were the worst thing to appear on the national scene, but now I find myself looking for Esso (now Exxon) gas stations around DC.

Remember, if you say anything bad about Obama…. YOU ARE A RACIST! This is why the left will praise Obama’s three illegal and immoral wars, they don’t want to be considered racists.

So, Dick — what kind of insect hangs around a gas station?

I had been wondering who the rebels were from the beginning.

Either he and the staff didn’t know who was who, which reeks of incompetence.

Or he knew and seeks to support them without any visible national security or interest reason which shouts of ulterior motives. (consider teh soros connection and or teh islam connection)
