    No, words cannot express….
God bless their sacrifice and the families left behind.

During the litany at Mass today, we will recall by name, those who we knew who served and have passed. My list grows longer every year.

What MinTx said: God bless them and their families….and their sacrifice.

Bless all those who sacrifice to keep us free.

And, equally, damn those who would sell that hard-won freedom for a cheap and temporary personal gain. How dare they devalue that which their betters sold everything most dear to purchase.

I read the “politics as usual” news this morning, and thought about how it reflects on the sacrifices made by our fallen. I was sick, sad, and angry.

I’m going to try to put those feelings aside for Memorial Day…after which I’ll count on the anger to help motivate me to do what I can to honor the memories of the men and women who gave everything.

That is one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen Doug. Makes for good reflection.
