* Look, this isn’t about some fundamental flaw in schools or society, it’s just about an incompetent, jackass administrator facing the age-old behavior of adolescents who doesn’t know how to pick his battles. If I were a school board member, I’d take a long, hard look at this administrator’s other actions, then order a fresh box of pink slips.

I’m guessing that if these students had all gotten down on their knees in the middle of the hallway to assist in the spontaneous abortion of one of their classmate’s unborn baby, the students would be hauled into the Principal’s office to receive an honorary plaque and would be awarded a future scholarship (not to mention a special local television special on their contribution to society).
Considering how school administrators have a way of drawing big pensions, it would be cheaper to just put them to sleep.
We had a War on Drugs (lost that one a long time ago). We had a War on Terror (we don’t seem to be winning that one, though we just may be holding it at bay). We had a War on Poverty (back in LBJ’s day – we lost that one a long time ago (proof: Obama says we’re all poor, except of course for the “1%” (which includes Obama))).
For a while now we’ve had a War on Religion (the current battlefield is Christianity). We’re winning that one handily. All traces of religion are being stamped out wherever they dare to show their heads in public.
It’s time to start fighting back. “Onward Christian Soldiers” isn’t about turning the other cheek.

If my brane had not still been in its peanut shell at these boy`s age, and I did teh stupid——I would definitely send the principal a huge Xmas pleasant for making my ignorant, unknown face a HuuuuGGeeeee Media Star!!!!!!! (…translation = mebbe get asked for a date by the school female hottie, whose high-heels “heel” collapsed backwards when squirted with 2-3 drops of Three n One oil……..)

It wasn’t mentioned in the video but this occurred at a Catholic High School. It’s not like they were in a “No praying zone”
For those concerned, the salaries of the school administrators and faculty are paid my the arch-diocese, not anyone’s tax money.
There were (4) boys suspended (one day each). They had been “Tebowing” for a little over a week and had received a verbal warning.
As the video shows,and states,the day this came to a head there were 25 other students Tebowing in the school hallway too. Yet the administration only suspended the leaders not the followers.
If this situation had involved doing anything other than having the appearance of praying a reasonable person would have called it a school prank.
IMHO,this all might have been a non-issue if the SOB in the Whitehouse has each and everyone of us ready to attack anything that seems off. And don’t think for a minute it not part of their plan.
But in this case FACTS trump blind reaction. As the boy’s father said: they’re men they’ll take their punishment.

Spin: Thanks for the update. I saw a photo of the guys in the hallway; it seemed like an organized prank. It wasn’t a sincere display of prayer.
