AND ‘prompters!

Belt and Suspenders!

…aaaaand, Teh Look:

Meanwiile, in the FLoTUS Pen:

According to the key:

In the positions of importance, #3 is Jackie Bray, a process operator at Siemens and #5 Capt. Mark E. Kelly, an American astronaut and the husband of Representative Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona.

#12 is Debbie Bosanek, Warren E. Buffett’s longtime secretary and poster girl for “Let’s grotesquely mischaracterize the double and triple taxation nature of capital gains and dividend taxes vs income taxes.”

#15 is Col. Ginger Wallace, a gay Air Force intelligence officer and #16 is Joan Milligan, a homeowner in Orlando, Fla. [For why is not stated.]

He said this — rly??!?!?!?

I’m a Democrat. But I believe what Republican Abraham Lincoln believed, that government should do for people only what they cannot do better by themselves, and no more.

Like feed your kids 3 meals a day, study the sex life of Brazillion prostitutes, build frog-tunnels under freeways, push 19th Century technology of trains from nowhere to BFE?? Like that?!?

Curious. The 1st SOTU *RERUN*! (…the only difference: A Sears & Roebucks necktie…)

First an ADD question for Col. Jerry. Sir, are Astronauts “Short”, or is Flotus truly part Wookie?

Then… I read in Drudge that the speech was evaluated as being written at an Eighth Grade Level?

Shows who voted for him and who he’s targeting again.

Those who are educated enough to note the fantasies and fallacies in his promises don’t…. well I guess He needs to form De-Education Camps.

    Claire,

Seriously, YOU won’t study the sex life of Brazillion prostitutes, will you?

YOU won’t build frog-tunnels under freeways, will you?

YOU won’t push 19th Century technology of trains from nowhere to BFE, will you?

Will you do those things now? If not now, then when? If not not you, then who will?

If you won’t give $2.6 million to train Chinese prostitutes to drink responsibly then the only answer IS bigger government.

If you won’t spend $400,000 to study gay sexual behavior in Argentine bars, then the only answer IS bigger government.

    Seriously!

Wollf, yes, astronauts are usually pretty small. Harken back to the thrilling days of yesteryear’s space program, when a Lazy Boy recliner had more room than the capsule or crew compartment. They also had weight considerations. Even the space shuttle wasn’t as roomy as implied.

In the Wookie pen, sober colors all around, except for Wookie, whose dress was fabricated by a neon sign company.

Well, when ya put it that way, Paladin…
I clearly am a bigoted, redneck, anti-science ruralite denier moron.

Tho it’s nearly impossible to accomplish, I try to avoid listening to ANY politician speak on ANYthing. Goes back to the old joke “How can you tell if a politician is lying?” with the punch line “His lips are moving.”

Never watched one of Kennedy’s, Johnson’s, Nixon’s, Carter’s, Reagan’s, Bush the Elder’s, Slick’s, or Dubya’s, and I damned sure ain’t wastin time listenin to a red-shirt ineligible pretender’s. If I’m close enough to the remote and see his face or hear his voice, I hit “Mute” or “Back,” and if not, I exit the room.

What troubles me most, tho, is the reactions to SOTUs. Did some clickin around this morning and found my suspicions confirmed: Conservatives’ responses were typically “Same ol’ same ol” or “Full campaign mode” or “Lotta talk but no specifics” or “Who’s he tryin to kid!”

But from the left, there are hundreds of “Good address, full of hope and inspiration” and “He just makes me feel better” and “Good job, Mr. President” and “It’s good to see he’s getting us on the right track.”

First of all, I doubt that many conservatives watched him, reacting to his appearance on TV much as I do, preferring instead to wait and hear how their favorite talking-head analyst (mine’s Krauthammer) sums it all up. And secondly, you gotta wonder just what friggin address some of the liberals were tuned in to.

Sounds like Monday morning breakfast at the local New Jersey greasy spoon after a weekend in which an NBA game, a MLB playoff, and an NFL pre-season matchup were on the alphabet networks. If you were a Kiwi listenin to ‘em, you might be able to figure out that they were discussing some kind of sports, but you’d never quite get a handle on what happened.

And at least half of all those dipshits are gonna vote this fall.

    Nope, didn’t watch it.
I heard everything I needed to hear last year:
    You lie !”

Gen G.S.Patton was wrong about one thing:
I don’t know why, but the image of a bullet coming straight for my nose was more horrifying than anything else.”
Patton never had to face an Obama SOTU address.

Actually, I think Teh Look is the POTUS reading on the teleprompter,
    “Wait for applause
    .
    .
    .
    Wait for applause
    .
    .
    .
Now let me be clear . . .”

Yes, astronauts have height/weight limits to meet. It is logical for space flight to send a *brain* that ain`t housed inside of a Hulk Hogan body……

#15 is Col. Ginger Wallace, a gay Air Force intelligence officer

I thought there was a prohibition about military personnel participating in political rallies while in uniform…

It now seems that Warren Buffet’s poor, overtaxed secretary may not have been the best choice as an invited guest. Her salary is thought to be between $200k-$500k, making HER one of those despised “millionaires and billionaires” who the president wants to raise taxes on.

“I’m a Democrat. But I believe what Republican Abraham Lincoln believed, that government should do for people only what they cannot do better by themselves, and no more.”

So tell me where old Abe said such a thing?

And just what can the government do for people they cannot do better for themselves? And who is to judge which is which? The government?

This is just socialist puke and nothing more.
