    aaaand here we go with a ‘discussion’ about the meaning of is detained. His question was, when “cops” put you in a room and tell you you’re not allowed to leave it, that is “detained.” It wasn’t until he used his cell fone to call a press conference outside the airport — for which they “became disturbed with me” — did they “escort” him out of the building.

    I guess a sitting Senator can get away with that; not likely to get disappeared as some random redneck maroon like me…

    The “anomaly” was at his knee — and he offered to roll up his pant leg and show them “my bony knees.” They refused that and demanded to grope all over. Where there was no “anomaly.”

    His theory was that there are scheduled “false anomalies” in the machines even the operators don’t know about, as he went thru again — hours later — having changed nothing about his dress or person. For what reason, I cannot fathom. Practice?

    Possible explanations:
    • They were gunnin’ for ‘im as a known TSArist critic. (“tinfoil-hat” postulate)
    • They had just frisked an Arab-lookin’ guy, so they needed to frisk a non-Arab-lookin’ guy for statistics’ sake. (“lawyer” postulate)
    • They don’t limit the follow-up to just the anomaly, because having that option would limit their ability to fully pat-down anybody they wished. (“bureaucrat” postulate, also the “perv” postulate)
