I think Gov. Christie did the right thing about the flags. Sure, she wasn’t perfect, and I’ve never even been a real big fan, but what’s right is right.

The Bobbie Brown guy obviously needs to be horsewhipped every day for the rest of his life.

The flag deallio should be for those who uphold and defend what it stands for.

Christie fucked up on this one.

    Waiting for “USS Whitney Houston”…

I don’t get it. Why are we — “we” — pretending she’s anything other than a poor, tortured soul who got caught in a horrifying trap?

    [Is it the race thing?]

Ummmm, yes, but at some point that whole “National Treasure” thing also kicks in. Lowering the flags for a day shouldn’t be that big a deal. The gay-assed, child molester Mayor of Portland recently ordered half-mast for some gang banger who was shot in the line of ‘duty’. Jesus.

I’m not in favor of naming a destroyer after her, or even a rowboat. Those kind of things should be reserved for The Sullivan Brothers, and the like.

Of course, the USS Lady Gaga is still up for grabs under this administration. And a nuclear super-carrier named the USS Moochelle can’t be far behind. We’re talking tonnage here.

Heh… I said “behind”. And “tonnage”.

That “private” funeral service is almost like the “secret” negotiations we’re having with the Taliban right now. What a farce… put her drug laden carcass in the ground already and get back to what really matters.
If I want to listen to her, I got CD’s…

He could have lowered the state flags and left the American Flag at the top where it belongs.

    I didn’t think the goober-nator could order the U.S. flag to half-staff.

What’s black, lies on the floor, ‘Will Always Love You’ and has white stuff around its nose? A border collie.

    What? Too soon?

This may sound a bit unChristian but…

There are so many good hard working people who NEVER get on drugs. Never get on booze. Never turn themselves into what Houston did herself yet these good people don’t have her gifts, don’t have her money, don’t have all the things that were laid out to Whitney’s feet on a silver plater.

It’s not just Whitney, but Elvis, John Belushi, Brad Renfro, River Phoenix, Heath Ledger, etc…. (turns out quite a few die that way!)

And that is why I don’t shed a tear for them. How many GIs come back for Afghanistan with legs or arms missing but never get on drugs. Never feel sorry for themselves.

Just go to any mom-and-pop store and what them work and build good lives yet they never get on this shit stuff.

    So no, I don’t give a nickel about Whitney Houston’s drug overdose. That’s a looser’s story.
