The neighborhood bully been driven out of every land
He’s wandered the earth an exiled man
Seen his family scattered, his people hounded and torn
He’s always on trial for just being born
He’s the neighborhood bully
Well, he knocked out a lynch mob, he was criticized
Old women condemned him, said he should apologize.
Then he destroyed a bomb factory, nobody was glad
The bombs were meant for him. He was supposed to feel bad
He’s the neighborhood bully

Vile.
The only thing that would cheer up my grumblin’ @ss, right about now, would be for the AmNaziParty to counter-protest #occupy for usin’ Nazi imagery to represent Jews.
I think that would just about make me laugh myself to death.

Do any youz senior Porch Minkeez bemember many years
ago when the ‘National Socialist Party of America’ tried to stage
a march thru Skokie, Illinois, in 1978, where a number of Holocaust
survivors lived! They also wanted to wear Nazi uniforms & display
swastikas. Well a large group of JDL (Jewish Defense League) people
came into town & if any of the NSPA ‘Nazis’ had even looked hostile,
there would have been a bloodbath! A friend was there with the JDL.
I wish a similiar situation would happen at this demonstration!

Lance: I do remember Skokie. The story was made into a TV movie starring Danny Kaye (in one of his rare non-comedy, non-musical roles:
The event was also noted for the ACLU siding with the Nazis, on a freedom-of-speech issue. The ACLU won, but the march didn’t happen.
Technically, they were right, but there are some things for which the discussion is over: Communism, Socialism, Nazi-ism. We don’t need to go over those things again, and we don’t need to listen to those who espouse them.
