geezerette (#13): There's still the little matter of 4 launches, 4 failures. If they'd launched anything from anywhere, we would have seen it.

Who in the hell made that video with the air fired rocket?

I mean good NK uniforms, AKs, and the background looks like some commie bankrupt state. And I love that NK hand clapping at their 'success'.

While the real rockets and launchers are in under ground they launch the fake ones to make the U.S. think they are inept. Ones who laugh last laugh best.

How long you think before the Norks blame this failure on the U.S. Military or the CIA?

National Review has a great headline:

"North Koreans Launch New Three-Stooge Rocket"

Oddly enough, there's not a word about the launch on the official NorK news agency. Yesterday they announced the launch:

Space Experts, Media Persons Visit General Satellite Control and Command Center

"Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- Experts on space science and technology and media persons from different countries Wednesday visited the General Satellite Control and Command Center in Pyongyang in the run-up to the DPRK's launch of the first working satellite."

That's Kwangmyŏngsŏng 2.

"They heard with keen attention that general secretary Kim Jong Il visited the modern Center on April 5, 2009 after its construction and observed the liftoff of Kwangmyongsong-2."

That one "failed to reach orbit".

In other news, it's the 100th anniversary of the birth of Kim Il Sung. Hes still dead, but that's only a technicality in NK:

"Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) -- Dermot Hudson, chairman of the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy who is heading the delegation on a visit to the DPRK, presented a gift to President Kim Il Sung on the centenary of his birth."

FYI, the Norks record for successful missile launches since 1998 is ZERO for 4 !!!! AND evidence indicates that they do not yet have a deployable nuke warhead to *duct tape* on to the pointy end of a missile.

Also, unlike all other nations with ballistic missile capability, the Norks do not TEST their missiles before announcing to the world they are gonna launch one, nor do they seem to have any capability to analyse failed missiles in flight!

I sure as fuck would not want to be anywhere within 50 kliks of a nuke-loaded missile launch!

Everyone needs to remember that one of Obama's earliest acts was to stop all production of the Boeing 747s with anti-ballistic missile laser cannons that were nearly ready to be deployed. They could have easily dealt with these type of situations.
