But…but… but… I might get my white Nike’s dirty! Onoes!!!
As Italy’s unemployment rate topped 10pc this week, it emerged that young people are flocking [sic] to become shepherds.
They are choosing a simple life in the great outdoors because their aspirations to become doctors, lawyers or engineers have been thwarted by Italy’s negligible economic growth, which has been compounded by grinding austerity measures.
“Choosing.” Interesting word choice.
Well, no worries about that catching on here. EPA’d put a quick kibosh on that.
Ok — that’s still gotta be better than this:
To entertain waiting passengers, Dalian [China] International Airport recently recruited a squad of cheerleaders to perform kicks, jumps and splits in the airport’s main hall.
…the cheerleaders’ pom-pom routines “soothed emotion and alleviated fatigue” … part of the airport’s effort to “bring more convenience to passengers in the summer-autumn air season,” …also a way for the Dalian airport to “demonstrate spirit and shoulder social responsibility,”
Let’s hope this doesn’t catch on here…

Wha… no social justice? I’m reporting this to the UN.
Kicks, jumps and splits. Sounds like a TSA inspection to me.
Baaaaaaah. Humbug.
Lets see, taxpayer money wasted on security theater,
Or taxpayer money wasted on actual theater. China FTW.
Butt, butt, Claire, tink of all da jobbs Obambam could create
if’n he would put dozens & dozens of cheer-leaders in all our
airports. Plus, he’d havta give half da jobs to menz. An’ he
can’t discriminate, so he’d havta give jobs to ennybuddy who
wants one!! Just tink of all the wunnerful diversity you’d
enjoy while waitin’ for TSA to make sure you’re not a terrierist!
Trouble with a gov’t-funded cheerleader squad is that it has to be sufficiently diverse. Oh, the imagery!
Modern hermit: crazy? oh yeah.

Kids wanna be shepherds, eh? The ones with the hip boots are in it for the fringe benefits.

Now you just had to go there, didn’t you? Fine. I’ll bite, but this is going to make you think twice before ever trying to pull that stunt again…
You want some more? Okay, here’s some more…
Had enough yet? Well sorry, but I’m just getting warmed-up…

The Quaker one is a hoot, though.
Why Does Economic Freedom Matter?
Economic freedom is a crucial component of liberty. It empowers people to work, produce, consume, own, trade, and invest according to their personal choices.
Why Does Economic Freedom Matter? – from The Heritage Foundation’s Understanding America series – explores the framework America’s Founders established for an economically free nation, and what economic freedom means for the United States and the rest of the world.
Italy come in at #92 and is in the section of “Mostly Unfree” countries. In fact it and Greece are the only two European
statescountries in that category.Remember Italy has a new leader that nobody voted for yet …

Why do Italian sheepherders wear robes? Because their sheep can hear a zipper a mile away!
