   ‘s funny — I was just discussing this with my EUro/socialist Prog Neighbor pal [yeah -- she has other qualities] last nite.

   Despite being the very Embodiment of Evil, PootyPoot is HAWT.
   The whole swimming with the dolphins / bare-chested horseback / his dog goes with him everywhere [and wears different collars to different meetings, which I'd imagine makes the courtiers very, very nervous] thing is … Brilliant Marketing. Just look at these!

    We talkin’ form/structure/grammar (morphology, syntax, and phonology), or meaning (incl. semantics and pragmatics), or context (evolutionary linguistics, historical linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, and language acquisition)?

    (What? Nah, just looked it up. I was an engineer. If a field of study includes wetware or bio-somethings, I go all stupid.)
