When Mitt Romney came to an inner-city charter school here Thursday to promote his new education agenda, he received something of a history lecture about the persecution of blacks in America and the struggles of African American children to meet the academic achievements of their white counterparts.
…“I come to learn, obviously, from people who are having experiences that are unique and instructive,” [Romney] said.
…“Where there was a time when it was against the law of the country for people of African-American descent to even read or write, it is even more important today that we discuss education for the African-American community,” [Kenny Gamble, who founded Universal Bluford Charter School in West Philadelphia] told Romney.
*cough*
…the black literacy rate shot up dramatically between 1890 and 1930, from 30 to 74 percent in Georgia…
compare the current black literacy rate in the United States (56 percent) with the rate in Jamaica (98.5 percent)
*cough*
Madaline G. Dunn, 78, who said she has lived here for 50 years and volunteers at the school, said she is “personally offended” that Romney would visit her neighborhood.
“It’s not appreciated here,” she said. “It is absolutely denigrating for him to come in here and speak his garbage.”
IDNTHWMWYTIM.
Also; toooolerance.
When [Romney] visited a classroom where the kids in the elementary school choir were standing, swaying and clapping to the beat of Kirk Franklin’s “I Smile,” Romney appeared charmed but did not dance with them. Rather, he tapped one of his toes slightly and bobbed his head, but did not catch the rhythm…
“Honkey ain’t got no rhythm! Ha!!”
“For a single mom living in a shelter with a couple of kids – those kids are at an enormous disadvantage, there’s no question about that,” Romney said. “Relative to a home where a mom and a dad are — where they’re able to be home for dinner…. And so if we’re thinking about the kids of tomorrow, trying to help move people to understand, you know, getting married and having families where there’s a mom and a dad together has a big impact.”
“Crackah don’t unnerstaaaand — our prollems be Da White Manz Fault!!!”

WaPo fails to mention:
Yet what the Post staff writers left out is that Dunn is no otherwise-apolitical resident who happened to be on hand to react to Romney’s campaign swing. She’s a seasoned political activist, having served as the legislative committee chair for the Philadelphia Congress of the National Congress of Black Women (PCNCBW).

I’m getting really tired of the “african americans”
and of course, if he didn’t come visit that neighborhood, it would be proof of his racism.
nappy heads, they win. nappy tails, you lose.
The documentary channel had a very interesting show on last night. It was called something like “What a Black Man Says”. Very interesting piece with some of the guests (even Juan Williams) pointing the finger directly back at blacks for their downward spiral.
If you get a chance, check it out.
Every leftist professional agitator ends up as a “random citizen” according to the press corps, because the press corps are mostly leftist liars.
It’s not really a mystery *why* it happens, it’s kind of a mystery how they get away with it.
“It is absolutely denigrating for him…”
Madaline G. Dunn, you denigra tellin’ whitey mofo whatfor!

^ A racist term, if ever I heard one.
