Amid the bustle of President Obama’s surprise stop for barbecue Wednesday the White House apparently overlooked one key detail: the bill.
Celebrating Father’s Day early, the president had lunch with two service members and two local barbers at Kenny’s BBQ on Capitol Hill.
As the group chatted about fatherhood, the president enjoyed a steaming plate of pork ribs with hot sauce, collard greens, red beans and rice and cornbread.
The bill for the president and his four guests was $55.58, but was left unpaid at the point of sale…

I really find it hard to believe that anyone could be so stupid as to do this so soon after that last statement.

Gee … I seem to remember some Dems making a big deal of Reagan trying to pay a McDonalds with a credit card ( unheard of back then ), and having to borrow a $20 from a secret service agent …
But at least Reagan didn’t need to be reminded to pay for his meal.
I heard President Kennedy did the same thing– never had cash SS had to pay—that’s what he gets when his writers use those stupid anologies.

Had a college friend who with his dining buddies started to walk out on a meal at a Howard Johnson in the DC area in the 60′s.
The manager put a double barrel shotgun to my friend’s head as he paused to pull the exit door open.
They paid the bill.
OTOH, Uhbama is royalty and everyone is expected to comp him, because he’s black and the smartest guy in the room, so the world owes him.
Obama won’t pay the bill. The bill will be paid by us, the taxpayers.
And when he leaves office in Jan. 2013, he will leave us a 15+ trillion dollar bill!
To be fair, he asked the Secret Service detail to pay it.
But their normal procedure for that is to skip out and wait for the service provider and a cop to show up at their hotel room and bargain the fee down. That or throwing the service provider out of a moving car.
He stole from his first job, too. Bragged in his stupid book about giving free stuff to his friends form the ice cream parlor.
That follows the Obama plan to a “T” doesn’t it?

I think the most astonishing thing is that there’s a restaurant in DC where 5 people can eat for only 55 bucks and change. Last time I was there it cost more than that to park a damn car.
The reason the bill was only $55 bucks? Obama placed his order and then requested 4 extra plates to *share the rib bones…*
Around here, they call that meal “soul food”…
Joe (18) & Colonel Jerry (19), I was curious about the pricing when you mentioned it, so I found their menu here, It’s possibly the cheapest place to eat in DC. Platters come with 2 sides and cornbread and range from $6.50 to $12.95 depending on the meat you want. So the man not only skipped out on the bill, but did so at the cheapest place around.
And dammit now I want BBQ for lunch.
No big deal. The Anointed One is just not used to having to pay for anything himself – never having had to do that since becoming a Servant of the People. He just figured Someone Else would take care of it, where Someone Else = Taxpayer.

In general: well, this is hysterical after his recent remarks. I’m not sure whether to hope some nasty PAC jumps on this or not — but I’m leaning toward hoping they do…..
