[San FranFreakShow] Mayor Ed Lee…called for a discussion of a stop-and-frisk policy by the city’s Police Department, like the one in New York City, which allows officers to stop and frisk anyone they think is suspicious.

…A report from the New York Civil Liberties Union found that almost 9 out of 10 people stopped and frisked by the New York Police Department were innocent and that of those stopped, more than 80 percent were black or Latino.

If I stop and frisk myself, does that come under discrimination, or just a good idea?

How long should I frisk myself? Is there a designated limit on self-frisking? Can I touch my junk while frisking myself? What if I find something? Does that make me a victim? Should I alert the media?

These are questions that need some answers.

Historical note: When the Italians started migrating to the United States, most of them spent a generation in and around New York City. New York`s mayor cleared the NYC policemen (…still wearing *Bobby helmets then…) to stop and search Italian men. Natch, the cops started *planting* small pistols in the pockets of Italians, which meant prison…..

How did the Italians overcome this? Interestingly, their wives, moms and daughters started *Sewing All Their Pockets Closed!!!!!*

Nowhere to plant a hot pistol, the cops gave up—————–

Maybe I’m just a crusty old Strict Constitutionalist, but if “Stop and Frisk” doesn’t blatantly violate the 4th Amendment, whatever the hell would?

No warrant, no arrest, not even probable cause, just some cop thinks you look “suspicious”.

If I was a cop, I would stop and frisk every good looking babe who is wearing a short, tight skirt, aren’t they suspicious looking?

I understand what they are trying to accomplish, but the Bill of Rights applies to us all, or we are no longer a free country.

Gomer, I think that boat sailed about 2 presidential elections and 8 or 9 Supreme Court sessions ago.
