Roobeer floooats!
As a kid, that was my favorite treat, bar none.
When I made my own, it was never the same.

Oh yeah! Weekends at grandma’s house….sigh. When I made my own, it was never the same
Don’t know why, that’s true for many things in foods.
Something as simple as a grilled cheese sandwich tastes soooo much better when someone else makes it and sets it in front of you on a small plate, already cut neatly in two.

Truely, Dick, NQDWG. For some reason my Dad makes the best baloney sandwiches, whenever we go hunting.
I have just added this to my to dobucket frosted mug list: “Enjoy a root beer float served with Headmissy’s home made ice cream.”
So there is this ad that I can’t tune off what is up with that?

The whole family has been out doing yard work today, and so after finishing that – and before sitting down here – I stopped by Dairy Queen and got Peanut Buster Parfaits and Cherry Cheesequake Blizzards. Glad I did, because otherwise the root beer float craving would have sent me back out again. :D

I have this recurring vision of the old A&W drive in with root beer floats in a frosted mug delivered by nice looking ladies who had manners.

I ain’t got no root beer or ice cream.
Will a Rolling Rock make do?
Ain’t even got no fried taters.
OR potted meat.
Got gas in the lawn mower, though.
