Got cable (TV, internet, phone) hooked up yesterday, set-up the bed, and hung a towel, so I’m officially moved.
Hard part was deciding what I needed to actually move-in.
I tried to do the minimalist thing.

Turns out, I’m a jerk.

Well, at least you know where your towel is ……
Hay! I have a lamp!
DougM, what state or territory did you move to??
What about your ‘hog’ & your Triumph??
Izzer room for all your extra Lucas ‘lectrical parts??
Don’t fret.
We moved in here over 20 years ago, and still have boxes above the garage.

*heh* I thought you’d like that.

I moved a mile’n-a-half, here in NC, to a bigger place with a large 2-car garage, so the TR-6 & Harley get their “own room.” Now I don’t have to roll ‘em out to activate wood-shop or gun-smith mode. Garage even has a built-in closet for the ammo dump (may have to reinforce the shelves, though).
I’ll have pretty-much finished de-Lucasing the TR when I replace the wiring harness this Winter

Yeah, think I’ll just print-out a bunch’a “Miscellaneous” labels.
Oh, wait, the cartoon says that doesn’t work.
If the AC is working now, then with the motors, guns, electronics (essential toys), bed and towel you described, you have all you need. The rest is salad dressing.
Enjoy! Sure wish I had room for a shop and cars in my garage. My
garageshop does have AC & heat tho.If only you had an area rug, it could tie the whole place together.
And you ain’t never going to de-Lucas that TR. I mean, I’d wish you luck if I thought it would do any good. But it’s still a nice hobby anyway. Gives you something to do… keeps you out of the wife’s hair…

Doug if you were in AZ I’d be happy to label those boxes for you. I can UPC code for you or just standard labeling. I would happily label cubbard shelves, drawers, alphabatize your books, movies, etc. I organize – my kids’s legos organzied by color, closets by type/color and everything is lined up neatly in cabinets. I’m kinda OCD like that. I own a UPC scanner I use for movies/cd’s/books/wine and groceries.
So Doug, have you picked out a thermos?
Katzemeow, If you’re ever passing through New Mexico, let me know. . .

#8– How’d you like to live with someone who is way way at the other end of that spectrum?? Little did I know those many years ago.
^^ heh, I do, 4 of them if you count kids…….I’ve learned to cope pretty well. He has piles, and piles and nothing in drawers or cabinets, I have my spaces (which is basically everywhere in the house execpt his desk area and the garage.)
This house to– I had to cope or go nuts because none of them would change. If you gave them stuff and said arrange this and put it away–it would get put in any available space there was– it’s just not there– their brains just don’t see it– or the need for it– we have a family saying–Where’s my Where’s my?– the first years together I couldn’t get how anyone could be like that — I tho’t it was just laziness. Just do my thing now and try to keep my nose out of theirs.
