“Mostly Peaceful”

or Mostly Wet

The #Occutards are goin’ to Tampa!
So is #HurricaneIsaac.

#Occutards are planning a little “village” called Romneyville*. [yanno - like a Hooverville*. Nice sense o' History...]
#HurricaneIsaac – “Just passin’ thru.”

[sign says "Hands Off My Medicare"]

#Occutards are claiming to be “Mostly Peaceful”.
#HurricaneIsaac – “no promises.”

#Occutards have Toooolerance Limits:

– Yes, the City of Tampa has legalized a police state for the 4 days of the RNC.
– Yes, they knowingly violated the constitution by eradicating your rights.
– Yes, they have pre-emptively started a war on democracy.

While we respect those who feel the need to ask for a permit, we believe the very act of asking permission for rights which are ours already, undermines the power we each have as free individuals.

Our free speech zone is one square meter around our bodies. We need not ask permission for this, as it is ours as long as we breathe. And when we stand together, our free speech zone grows, and moves with us, anywhere we wish to march.

And we will not tolerate any violation of this space by anyone.

#HurricaneIsaac: “meh. Mother Nature doesn’t ask for tolerance; she grants it.”

#Occutards have already placed “pipes, bricks and other ‘suspicious’ items*” on rooftops near the RNC Convention HQ.
#HurricaneIsaac: “Where’s the trailer parks at?!?”

#Occutards: worried about their second amendment rights

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn is now asking for Governor Rick Scott to ban firearms that are legally permitted by Florida’s current laws, and the US Constitution. As of now, firearms, pepper spray and tazers are exempt from the ban if you have a concealed weapons permit. If you do not have a permit, [link] is where you can apply for one.

*We are not suggesting it is a good idea to carry firearms into a protest.

First an attack on our First Amendment, now an attack on our Second? How far will we allow the state to go to keep us safe? [bolding in original]

#HurricaneIsaac: “Well, blow me down…”

Disrupting another’s right to free speech is not protected speech.
Knowingly providing cover for violence and sedition is conspiracy, aiding, and abetting.
Interfering with the electoral process is treason.

Being a jackass is not always illegal, but it is punished by attracting other jackasses, thereby forcing the jackass into a reeking environment of jackassery.

Nature trumps your little imaginary world with a real one.

I predict this will not look good for the left.

As they cover the convention and the “peaceful” cough-cough protesters, clear thinking adults everywhere will be appalled by both the mob and the kid glove coverage of it by the msm.

    They really are cocooned.

The majority of democrat peaceful protesters are being used as a tool by the far left:

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/08/24/Brandon-Darby-on-Anarchist-Plans-for-the-RNC-Including-Taking-Down-the-City-s-EMS-System

The protest organizers ask the Black Bloc to go in and fuck things and people up. They flee the scene. The organizers send in peaceful protesters to slow down police response, as they send in arrest-me volunteers to chain themselves up.

When the police arrive, after having been attacked by the black bloc, they have more lawbreakers, surrounded by peaceful useful idiots … and the organizers are filming this, hoping for a brutal response by the police.

This can be handled … but not by a Democratic Mayor. Once violence starts, you jam cellphones in the area, including 4G computer networks. Then you have plainclothesmen finger the Black Bloc for arrest, and arrest the organizers for conspiring with them.

The RNC needs to get their head out of their asses, and stop sending the conventions to blue controlled towns, even if they need to make a tent city somewhere in someone’s back 40 to do it.

I remember the last Republican convention. I have a feeling this is going to be worse. I bet not one Democrat will speak up. If they do they’ll blame it on the T party.

I’ve seen a couple ‘The hurricane is a sign from God to the GOP!’ articles out there. Yep, it is: God’ll take care of the Occutard hippies while the GOP takes care of business.

Just be cool and calm and let them do their best to incite a response.

They will rapidly escalate into violent acts of some kind when they don’t get the response that they and their lackeys in the Communist media so desperately want.

Doctors have used them for years to remove casts.

Lots being put out there about this group. I’m sure many of you have already seen this over at hotair two very good vids about their plans. Also many more on youtube.

But what is this is all a ruse. Like when Paul Ryan when out the back door at home, repelled down a hill, took a zip line across the creek and then para-glided to the airport to meet Romney.

Could this hurricane all be a ploy conjured up by Karl Rove to clear out the Florida Keys and that is where the real convention has already started. Roads, ok “road” clear. No stinky seaweed or protestors on the beach. Nice and sunny.

We all know evil Karl can control the weather. He does it not because he can. He just likes pissing Algore off.

I have heard many demonstrator bitch about the fact that there are restrictions on where they can strut their stuff without realizing the roots of those restrictions: abortion advocates. The abortion industry sued to keep people away from their mills and the half ass courts ruled that there can be restrictions as to how close you could come but there cannot be absolute prohibitions. This morphed into setting aside remote areas for all sorts of demonstrations.

If you don’t like it, complain to NOW and Planned Parenthood.

1square meter of space. Does that mean that we have the right to stop any sound emanating from them once it goes beyond that range?

    Posted August 26, 2012 at 5:51 pm |

For fairness, they should be allowed 1 cubic meter of space. each.

Just so they don’t obstruct anyone’s view.

It’s a lot easier to be a whiny complaining sit-in when the weather’s nice. Harder when a hurricane’s blowing.

But like the Good Book says, hurricanes blow equally on the just and the unjust. It may put a dent in the Convention.

    From the Occusite:

“Our free speech zone is one square meter around our bodies.”

Wow! They’ve gone metric!!! I suppose there’ll be a Space Monitor, roaming around with a meter-stick to make sure nobody infringes on their somebody-given (they don’t seem to believe in God) right.

On the other hand, our side could have another Space Monitor, making sure nothing they say can be heard outside that meter square.

Kristophr : “This can be handled … but not by a Democratic Mayor.”

I remember the Democrat Mayor in Oakland, who tried to reason with them, to compromise. That ended badly.

I sure do wish that these folks would actually READ the 1st Amendment.

Congress cannot tell you what you can or cannot say. It cannot prevent you from peaceably assembling and petitioning the government.

HOWEVER: where the government is the property manager on behalf of the owners – that’s us – it has a responsibility to balance ALL of the owners to use the property as they desire.

If you gather on private property, the government has no legal basis for interfering with you. BUT – if you gather on public property, then you have to get in line with the other users. Political speech is NOT a higher use than, say, me walking my dog. The government has no authority to favor you over me. And you have no First Amendment right to shove me out of the way.

RonF: Even simpler: if SondraK doesn’t allow my comment, that’s not censorship – no 1st Amendment issue. If the Government tells her not to run it, now we’re talking censorship.

“Political speech is NOT a higher use than, say, me walking my dog. ”

Well, unless you’re walking your dog near a Muslim gathering in Canada:

    Muslim Dog Day Afternoon

“The Muslim proscription against “unclean” animals received state-enforced validation last Saturday in Toronto at the annual Al-Quds Day rally held in the city’s Queen’s Park.”

    Well, that’s Canada. Or al-Canada.

I notice with some satisfaction that al-Quds Day hasn’t come to America yet. If it does, there should be some serious push-back.

    Quds Day

“The annual anti-Zionist day of protest was conceived originally by the leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. In August 1979, the year of the Revolution, in solidarity with the Palestinians, Khomeini declared the liberation of Jerusalem a religious duty to all Muslims.”

(I don’t usually link to Wikipedia, but this one seems straightforward enough.)
