Heard an encouraging update from Jay Delancy of the Voter Integrity Project NC at the local Tea Party meeting/fish-fry. Seems that the work of a small group of volunteers has made a huge difference in not only eliminating a big backlog of expired voter registrations (expired in the mortality sense) but in changing the way voter rolls are maintained around the state, officially. A huge difference. There is a lot more to do, especially in the arena of non-citizen voting; and there seems to be push-back from the Dems. Wonder why?
I think I’ll volunteer for some serious legwork with the Voter Integrity Project. The payoff should be high-leverage.
Anybody out there involved in anything similar?

Great tidings of huge joy from NC!!!!! Keep it up!!!!!!!
I’m signed up again to be a presiding judge for a precinct.
Been doing that for a bit over twenty years.
Looks like Wendy Rosen was sort of running an anti-voter-integrity project.
Good luck with the real thing there Doug. Your nation needs you.
I guaran-damn-tee you tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of college students did the same as the Maryland Twerpapin in 2008.
There’s little to nothing stopping somebody from voting in another county, definitely not stopping them in another state.
(other than character, honesty, and integrity, which are long-lost traits among today’s young crowd)
I’ve often wondered if all the time I spend blogging was instead directed toward direct action like this wouldn’t yield a concrete result. Of course I know the answer is, “yes it would,” but I’m not listening. Because I’m too lazy. Maybe if I had a motorcycle. Or had my car fixed up. But good on you Doug. Srsly.
College students??? Ummm Madison for one. Didn’t work for them tho did it? But— of course there’s no voter fraud so this is all a mute point.
Tea Party Patriots in Kalifornicateya are doing the same thing. Plus making sure that all precints have (…trained by Tea Party…) Poll Watchers….
My motion that they be CCW-legal——-was not approved! [...cheek w tongue in it....]
