Anniversary of 9/11

timing…

According to a raadio nooz report from Cairo: the YouTube trailer for the film that “started” the attacks in Cairo and Libya was shown on TV in Cairo. Up to that time it hadn’t been seen by *anyone*. Teh InnerToobs wasn’t sure yesterday if a film even existed and if The InnarTooberz can’t find it within 0.20 seconds — that’s the definition of obscure.

That led to the murder of US Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the dragging of his body through the streets. [Pictures at GatewayPundit NOTE: NSFW nor for Civilized People Anywhere, Anytime.]

So this was intentional, and planned for 9/11.

And abetted — not necessarily consciously, but certainly by a failure of ideology — by the floppy boundaries* of US Foreign Policy. It doesn’t help that our Ambassador in Chief is a woman, an old woman, who was publicly shamed by her husband. A “leader” who is so loosely in charge of her own department that she allows underlings to TWEET [??!?] ill-considered and unvetted messages that actually encouraged the attackers.

That’ll show ‘em.

Also, I wonder at the orders that were given to the Marines at the embassy — two of whom are currently reported killed in the attack — because, as reported, they fired not a single shot as those they were assigned to protect were killed beside them. Does that sound right?

I know we will never really know what actually happened in this obscure, byzantine world of cults within cults, agendas within agendas. Hell — correctly reporting a civilized public meeting is beyond most meeeedia outfits. But Questions do emerge…

Like whereinhell do Egyptian protestors hear of this fashion — things having been fairly busy there for the last year or so — much less obtain the accessories?

X

IMHO, the only way out of this is to make that part of the world as irrelevant as Outer Mongolia: Drill Here, Drill Now, become oil independent and crash the world oil market to the price of $1.25 a barrel. Good for the civilized, industrialized world and allows the iSlamopithicus a much needed break of a couplafew centuries to work things out among themselves, maybe have a Reformation and a Renaissance of their own and maybe join the rest of Humanity on a more equal footing.

*floppy boundaries —

Finish your assignment! »

*floppy boundaries — meaning that normal people respond to random killing of their family members/people by spraying the attackers with lethal weaponry. That’s a firm boundary: “Say what you want; hurt us and die.” Firm.

“We” respond with crap like “rejecting the actions” of those who want to “hurt the religious beliefs of others”. [WTF does that even mean?! That wouldn't fly at a bull session of Beta Bistro Boyz.]

Then we “disappear” that statement and replace it with a Statement by Obobo:

“While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants,”

wow. Coming out — publicly — in opposition to street mobs killing people. Leaderhip!

In case yer interested, here’s Teh Incendiary Filim on EweToob.

I give it 4*facepalms*

Secondary Linky in case EweToob disappears it [which I'm amazed it hasn't already. What's up with that?!?].

What needs to be done, won’t be done by anyone in this administration. I can’t decide if Col. West should be Sec of Defense, or State.

What happened yesterday was exactly what my gut instinct predicted! America has never been in this situation since the Iran Embassy takeover. But thanks to the OBoBo Administration, the Thunder Thighs State Department and the mfcsMedia, we are right fucking back for a repeat National and International mess that SHOULD. NEVER. HAVE. HAPPENED!

America wants what I want, but we won`t get it——until January, 2013!

From what I heard it was funded by some real estate developer in SoCA.

Although there was initial confusion about who made the film, The Wall Street Journal reported that the drama, titled “Innocence of Muslims,” was produced and directed by an Israeli-American, Sam Bacile, a California real-estate developer who called Islam “a cancer,” in an interview. Mr. Bacile told The Journal that he raised $5 million from about 100 Jewish donors and shot the two-hour movie in California last year.

Last week, an Egyptian-American Copt known for his broadsides against Muslims drew attention to the trailer in an Arabic-language blog post and an e-mail newsletter in English publicizing the latest publicity stunt of the Florida pastor Terry Jones, reviled in the Muslim world for burning copies of the Koran. …*

As this incident comes to light, not because of the Commiecrat media, that’s for sure, I am appalled at this limp wristed administration’s lack of any thing so far but an apology.

And that was issued before the invasion of our embassy.

Things are too fucked up at the moment to rely on all things said, as fact.

However, I just emailed the Romney campaign headquarters (…would be useless to email the White House….).

The gist of my mail was: To announce that president Romney will cut ALL funding to Egypt and Libya. The logic = Money is Power! Further, he should simply state that any further attacks by any Middle East nation(…this is only the beginning…) will result in the closing of their embassies in America and the termination of any funding, should it exist.

Egypt`s present request to forgive its debt will not be considered.

Lastly, American policy will change sharply under the Romney Administration. If further provocations continue in the area, the new adminstration will have no recourse but to station sufficient US Naval Forces in the Mediterranian Ocean to protect American lives and property from harm!

In other words, “Let no one claim my Administration will, in any way, resemble the last Adminstration.”

And Caesar’s spirit, raging for revenge,
With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch’s voice
Cry “Havoc!” and let slip the dogs of war,
That this foul deed shall smell above the earth
With carrion men, groaning for burial.

(NB: Greek ref: ATE was the spirit (daimona) of delusion, infatuation, blind folly, rash action and reckless impulse who led men down the path to ruin. Her power was countered by the Litai (Prayers) which followed in her wake.)

Shortly before the Libyans killed our ambassador, our Cairo embassy sent out an apology for “… continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims…”

I’m beginning to wonder if Obama is really Jimmy Carter in disguise.

What there is no doubt at all about is that Obama’s foreign policy is a complete disaster.

Let’s not forget that he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

    Some peace.

Some others have wondered how the killers got into the Embassy. It’s a building within a compound. One news report says “Marines were called…” They’re supposed to be on post all the time!

mojo (#5): Great idea. We used that approach once before. They thought we were kidding.

Unfortunately, no one in the White House has the guts to do anything serious. All we’ll do is send “strongly-worded protests” and ask the UN if they wouldn’t mind doing something about it.

Some of our students of history may remember that Tripoli is in Libya, and that its shores are celebrated in the Marine Corps hymn.

COL Jerry: ““Let no one claim my Administration will, in any way, resemble the last Adminstration.”

That should be the headline of his campaign.

Aside: did anyone catch this monstrous gaffe by the DNC:

Russian warships displayed at DNC veterans tribute

“Barker, the former sailor who first spotted the errors, believes the seven aircraft streaking by are F-5 jets, a trainer used by the U.S. Navy. Asked to explain how he reached that conclusion, the former airplane spotter ticked off a list: “Twin engine, single rudder, with hard points on the wingtips, with that silhouette is going to make them F-5s.”

NJ Mike & mojo: “unleash the dogs of war” – that line was used in the movie “Gladiator”. The blue-painted Brits are massing in the woods, the Roman army on the other side of the field, the General (Russel Crowe) is walking along the battle line, his dogs nearby. When the time comes, he says “unleash the dogs of war”, and all hell breaks loose.

I see where President Shitstain is sending a FAST (Fleet Anti-terrorist Security Team) of 50 Marines to guard the Benghazi consulate. Last I heard, it was burned to the ground, so I guess they can bivouac in the rubble. Hats off to those Marines – I wouldn’t want to go there in a small group like that – but the acronym in Captain Shitstain’s case should be FAP (Frantic Apologies Personnel)
The horse is out, but I certainly hope this barn door hits President Shitstain in the ass, hard.

    Won’t work.

Oh, I mean, the “oil independent” part would work, especially if we happily keep buying Canadian and Mexican oil (in any case, having Canada or Mexico crash would be… bad).

But it won’t drop world oil prices to $1.25 a barrel, or even to $12.50 a barrel.

There’s too much demand worldwide for oil for us to glut the market that much (nor would it really be wise to; I’m not sure shale extraction, eg., is profitable at that price).

I’m pretty sure Saudi Arabia and (more importantly to US interests, since they’re non-harmful and allied) Kuwait/Bahrain/Qatar can pump out the juice more cheaply than we can, and have lower transit costs to Europe and India, and possibly to China.

The US is not the world’s only market for oil, turns out.

Wollf 10: There were no Marines in the Embassy. The two murdered came in from places unknown. WTF? We let foreign nationals guard our Embassy now, Hillary?

We have been giving foreign nationals far, far too much access to our overseas facilities for decades; and we have allowed them to provide security in various situations. Sometimes with horrible results.* The entire policy of how we maintain and secure facilities in foreign countries needs to be significantly revised.

Also, it seems clear that what security we have is given debilitating ROE and lack the equipment and positioning to do much more. We need to have facilities that have good tactical distance, and make clear both by word and by action that we do not view any invasion of our sovereign space as “peaceful.”

    * Just a nit, but one might want to review the location and responsibilities of foreign nationals in Reagan’s Lebanon Marine barracks disaster. Or who had access to the American Embassy in Teheran before that event. Won’t even get started on current day Afghanistan and Pakistan. I’m sure everybody saw the other posting “Libyan security team fingered US ambassador to be killed…”

Wollf, good attention to detail. I had to read a couple of the articles this morning to find that nugget. Tried to do a little additional research to freshen my memories, but did not have too much luck. Embassy status was reinstated in 2004. I have a hard to pin down thought that no Marines were to be stationed there when it was re-established. Not sure as most of 2004 I spent on vacay in sunny Mesopotamia on the banks of the mighty Euphrates.

Anyway, I have not found anything I could make sense of, been too busy with research I get paid for.

^^ ZZMike (24): You’re right about Embassies being sovereign territory of the guest country. That’s why Julian Assange can hide out in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London and the Brits can’t touch him – he is legally in Ecuador.

And it’s the duty of the host country to provide protection to Embassies and visiting diplomats. That’s international law, recognized by all civilized nations (though not by the uncivilized ones, clearly).

So, how to force the uncivilized ones to live up to their obligations? Recognize that they are uncivilized and treat them accordingly.

Thus, I’d suggest paraphrasing Saul Alinsky a bit – pick a target and personalize it.

Invite the host Foreign Affairs Minister, Army Chief of Staff, local chief of police, and everyone else associated with security in the area to the Embassy, remind them of their duties, and impress upon them that they are not just professionally but also personally responsible for ensuring that the monkeys in the local zoo don’t get out of hand. And if they fail in that duty, then they and their immediate families and their extended families and their entire tribes or clans will simply be exterminated. May take five years, but they will all be gone. Done. History.

If they insist on behaving like wild animals, treat them that way.

target=
