We won’t have the print edition of Newsweek to kick around any more.

The Magazine of News No Significance.
We still have the New York Times, though. Suitable for framing, or training puppies …

Reminds me of the cover that “Time” Magazine put just after the surrender of Japan – showed a large red disk with a black “X” slashed across it on a white background with no type other than the title, “Time”, and the date. “Time” is not as bad as “Newsreek” (a combination of “The Nation” and “People” Magazines) but it’s getting there – haven’t read either of them for years.

It was 1945, and Jingoism was in bloom.

Written by a civ or an Army puke, looks like – it uses “Jap” instead of the more Marine-ish “Nip”…

    “Where to?”
“Corner of August 8th and Nagasaki.”

DougM (#9) “Pravda” – but – there’s no News in Pravda.
