Is Fauxcahontas a lieyer too?

Elizabeth Warren, who is running for U.S. Senate from Massachusetts and has taught law in Massachusetts for nearly two decades, may never have obtained a license to practice law there, and may be unlicensed to practice anywhere at the moment…

The Supreme`s beoytch, Elana Kagan, had something to do with this when she was a lawyer in Messachushits, sooo, mebbe the thick will plotten when Professor Jacobson uncovers more stuff…… I imagine Scott Brown is creaming his jeans in anticipation of the next debate… One less worry for the Senate me thinks. Oops. It looks like her people forgot to remind her of some important stuff. My suggestion is she fire them all and quit the campaign.

What’s with the either loosing their license or not having one and no one knowing anything about it? No big deal when you’re one of the Ones backers.

I think that would sell, if it was on a t-shirt.

I heard that most Democrats in politics are lawyers and most Republicans are doctors—

So does that mean LIz Warren brings a new meaning to the word, shyster?

Can she be even called a shyster when she has no license?

Bet she never gets arrested for practicing law without a license. Licenses are for the little people ya know.

Shouldn’t this be brought to the attention of the Taxachusetts Bar Association?

Not until she loses and therefore can’t provide any favors.

TimO is onto something. Teaching law is not practicing law – no license required in any of the states where I practiced or associated with local counsel. In some states the Bar allows law school profs to have a license to practice without sitting for the examination. Also many states have reciprocity, allowing an attorney licensed in a state (or DC) to transfer a license to a new state of residence without examination. We’re still a long way from showing that She Who Speaks With Many Tongues has actually practiced law anywhere with or without a license. Keep digging.

I’d advise you all to go to Legal Insurrection and read the rather lengthy and detailed presentation on this. The short version is that if you have a law office in Massachusetts and practice law you must have a Massachusetts law license – even if the cases and clients you deal with are all out of state. This has nothing to do with her law professorship, it has to do with actual legal cases that she was involved in.

I think she’s one of the Wherethefuggowee tribe. As far as her law license it’s wherethefuggisit?
