It’s a catch 22 for a ruler. If you castrate too many of your citizens, you either piss them off, or cause problems with the gene pool. The easiest solution is to keep what eunuchs you have alive for as long as you can. So, it has nothing to do with genetics. The researches are wasting precious grant money, which can be used to corroborate some useless fact.
