today’s KisP fun facts

In the US and Canada, wireless phone operators are required by law to connect all calls to 911 services, whether the customer account is active, past due or even canceled.

Even if you don’t need a wireless phone for your social life, it may be a good idea to keep an old phone in your glove box in case of an emergency. There is even an organization called AmericanCellPhoneDrive.org where you can donate an old phone or request a free phone for this exact purpose…

In 1985 congress allowed phone companies to add charges to all phone bills to provide land line phones to the poor and unfortunate. Reagan did not veto. In 2005 AT&T and their ilk noticed that the poor and unfortunate were discontinuing their land lines for cell phones so they once again lobbied congress to add the 250 base cell phone minutes to the plan and increase the charge. Congress passed it. George W. Bush didn’t veto it. Any meetings with lobbiest that fall outside of national security should be webcast by law. Income redistribution at the hands of government doesn’t always go to the poor. Between AT&T pulling this, Walmart getting federal funds to redo their private driveway and me having to flip for the Haagen Daaz cravings of welfare recipients across this great nation the middle class is getting screwed on both ends.

    Yep,
I have an old one on a charger in my “safe room” for that very purpose. There’s also one one on the firing line at our shootin’ range, likewise expired.

So, how exactly do you batter a wife? Do you roll them in egg and flour first?

How’s about beer batter? That’s my favorite.

    Window seat please…
