SHTF (cont’d)

The administration has been covering up the fact that Obama’s “Arab Spring” appease-Islamism foreign policy has been an unmitigated disaster and a boon for Iranian Ahmadinejad’s insane adventurism.

The barbarians seem to have less and less interest in pretending to understand civilized behavior.

Turkey (i.e. NATO) is getting closer and closer to getting into a significant shoot-’em-up with Syria.

Iran’s Quds Force group is being withdrawn from Syria, perhaps to cover Ahmadinejad’s ass from a domestic revolt.

*whew!*
How much closer to a precipice can we get?
[scans for raised hands]
No? Okay, let me make a suggestion: Chavez.
Venezuela’s elections are tomorrow. Chavez’s presidency is seriously at risk.
What if he decides not to go quietly?

Have a nice day.

Chavez won by 9pts.
Swell, now we’re faced with a commie revolutionary enclave down there that’s entrenched for the foreseeable future, backed by huge oil reserves, where every swinging d*ck with an anti-American grudge can operate from.

    DougM,

Great post, but I wonder if you haven`t overlooked something much more dangerous & in the offing?

I just read this: “Biden intends to debate Ryan with, “A BAYONET IN HIS TEETH!”

    {…I mean, I got so nervous, my trembling fingers cain`t even hardly load a 1911 magazine……}

Don’t sweat it, Col. If Plugs is really dumb enough to put a bayonet in his teeth, sure as hell he’ll put the sharp edge inward and turn his face into flank steak.

Speaking of SHTF, there is much speculation that the drone shot down over Israel originated in Islamic terrorist/jihad groups.

The Israelis let it get into their air space and downed it in an unpopulated area so they could closely examine the wreckage.

I doubt if Israel will let the next one even get close, and then…

MiT 4: yep. And every subsequent week for a while now, I bet.

Joe 3: well, maybe the Israelis can return to us the drone Zero lost in Iran… or at least some of the tech that was in it.

DougM, your remark about Chavez brought up an interesting thought: What about all the fuckery Teh iWon can come up with between his loss on Nov 6 and noon on Jan 20?

You know he’s going to leave all the rattlesnakes behind he can and cooperate as little as possible with the incoming administration’s transition team.

For instance how does the thought of a pardon for everyone on death row strike you?

^^ For instance how does the thought of a pardon for everyone on death row strike you?

Or the effective release of everyone at Gitmo?

And pardons are only a small part of the mischief he is likely to do.

Not sure there’s much that can be done about it.

(Wonder if there might be some effective campaign ads that urge Zero not to forget to provide Holder a preemptive pardon for any criminal charges stemming from Fast and Furious, etc.)

Clinton pardoned Marc Rich. Marc Rich made over 100 million dollars by floating a rumor that President Reagan had died (in the middle of the night) and then scamming the world’s gold markets. The rumor only lasted for 18 minutes, but that was enough.

And that was just one of Marc Rich’s little shenannigans.

    ^ 12: good plan.

It’s off the subject, but if anyone has a recommendation for an inexpensive arm-pit rig for carrying an S&W M640, I’d like to know it. I never carried like that, but it looks like there are circumstances where that might work best.

“Yo homie. Chavez and Obama for Life! Der ain’t no odders. You got a problem wit dat?”

Compaion Reading:Reuters) – Federal investigators uncovered two grocery store owners who trafficked in more than $1 million in food stamps apiece and seized four luxury cars, including a Ferrari, from one of them, the Agriculture Department’s watchdog agency said on Wednesday.

In Lake Charles, Louisiana, the owner of two grocery stores was ordered to pay more than $1.7 million in restitution and was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison after trading food stamps for cash and other goods, the department’s inspector general said in a report. Investigators seized a Ferrari, Porsche, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, and two bank accounts in the case, the report said. The food stamp program, formally named the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, helps poor people buy food.

Good post Doug, I can’t see Chavez just giving up, if he wins I’d hate to be the losers.

Ironic in Denver, sorry I can’t help with the arm-pit rig the only shoulder rig I had was a DeSantis for a S&W M39 back in the 80′s. I had watched too much Miami vice I guess…..

I do have a custom cross draw rig on the way from Mernickle leather, I sit in a car a lot and I hear a cross draw is more comfortable and accessible than strong side carry. I never tried cross draw so I may just be chucking a hundred bucks but it won’t be the last time I bought carry rigs that end up in the big drawer that’s nearly full of old leather I don’t use any longer.

15 thanks blindshooter. Be interested to hear how that particular cross draw works for you. That used to be the standard backup thing: 1911 or browning hi-power in a strong side hip, with a M49 bodyguard in a cross draw. I might ought to reconsider, since I’m not sure if I’ll get used to the shoulder rig, but at present I still want to try it.

Chavez grabbed power by brownshirt election fraud the first time. Why should losing the popular vote mean anything this time?
What if he decides not to go quietly?
Uhbama Captain Shitstain will send military aid – for Chavez.
Justification – it’s in Uhbamacare. Some secretary determined it.

And I’m almost sure Captain Shitstain will issue a full and unconditional pardon for any crimes they may have committed against the United States while in office for all his cronies on his last day in office. Can he pardon himself, or will he resign the morning of 20 Jan and have Biden pardon him like Ford did Nixon?

According to Foxnews.com, Chavez has been declared the election winner by the Venezuela electoral council. (whom I am sure he has no influence over *winkwink*)

I fully expect this to be the case here in Nov.
The roots of treason run deeper than people want to believe are possible.

Somebody clue Mitt in that Syria is NOT our buddy, now or ever. Pencil-neck kept a lid on it, but he’s headed for the exit – likely to take up residence as Vladdie’s lap-dog.

The opposition are not our buds either – they want a Caliphate.

Look up “no dog in this fight”, Mitt.

DougM: After the fact ….. I wasn’t really surprised that Chavez won yet again. It doesn’t matter who votes. What matters is who counts the votes.

    rickn8or Speaking of “flexibility”:

Obama, to Medvedev (who answers to Putin), in May: “After my election, I have more flexibility.”

Romney, yesterday: “there will be no flexibility with Vladimir Putin”
