Clueless as well as stupid. Reminds me of the various activists swarming into Iraq before OIF to serve as human shields. Most of them left, disillusioned, on finding that Saddam wanted to station them in front of military targets. They wanted to go to hospitals and orphanages and women’s crisis centers, not realizing that those places already had human shields preventing strikes.
Or what the US military calls “noncombatants.”
