I’ve attached a usable photo of my son. He has been a Cub Scout for three years, and works really hard at his achievements. You can see from the photo how “close together” the houses are out here – nonetheless he has sold nearly $3000 door to door in just two weeks (and never on Sundays). If your e-family buys popcorn for the troops on Peter’s account, he might become the high seller in his Pack this year, and so put an end to the miserable ribbing he endures about his hair – as mentioned, he is growing it for donation. We have only 25 boys in the entire pack. We’re a Scouting family – he and his sister are both Scouts, my wife and I are both Scout leaders. As I’ve been out of work most of the year, our time is all we have to donate. It means so much to these kids, especially in a rural area, to have a group of friends and conscientious adults (his Pack is chartered by the local American Legion) who care about citizenship and service. This fundraiser is the only source of income for the Pack, and is only for three weeks, once a year. It is all over next Sunday.
Thanks for listening! If this flies, I’m thinking of trying to embroider a KisP patch for his award vest…
Go here to support Peter, the Cub Scouts, our troops and a fellow Kispian (“Jimmy don’t play that”) all at the same time.
I can also take donations through PayPal if a smaller contribution is more comfortable for you ( put “popcorn” in the subject line so I don’t think it’s for turquoise suede embroidered cowgirl boots or something )…and we can pool our resources. On Saturday ( this ends Sunday ) I’ll make a single purchase in our name…….and get our own patch!

Full disclosure: because Peter has passed the Scholarship threshold for sales, 6% of his gross sales for this year and henceforth will be set aside for a scholarship paid to the school of his choice once he turns 18. He is up to $173 and change so far – in 9 years at maximum interest, lets see… that might be enough to buy a notebook! Every notebook helps. Our thanks in advance if you can help, and blessings to Head Missy for her indulgence. Let’s send some popcorn to the troops!
Awesome kid Jimmy. Glad to help a little.
He is definately the kind of ‘yute’ this country needs more off considering its present going to hell on a skate cart cultcha’.
How nice to see there is some greatness and goodness still abounding in this country. ‘Thank You Jimmy’
WOOHOO! We had set a (modest) goal of $250 – and I’m thrilled to report more than half the way there! YAY KisPers!
Done. Good job, kid.
Citizenship and Service – the antidote to community organizers! Y’all are the BEST! (I can say y’all on account of I lived in TX back in the ’80s, right?)
