I was tempted to go with the “throwing Hillary under the bus” meme (the graphics opportunities, alone, would be tempting), but it became crystal clear that one shouldn’t believe that for a minute.
Watching the video, I don’t see Hillary taking personal responsibility for anything.
She’s clearly blaming the bureaucracy, the “professionals.”
Hillary doesn’t get thrown under buses, and Hillary doesn’t throw herself under buses.
Hillary doesn’t fall on her sword. Other people fall on Hillary’s sword (almost literally, most likely).
Maybe sacrifice is how the media are instructed to play it. Dunno.
There’s something else in play, here, though … something very, very nasty, if recent history is any measure.
No, I don’t mean just* an expedient political firebreak, I mean nasty.
My guesses?
1. As a reward for her “sacrifice” and “honest courage” Hillary will replace Joe Biden on the ticket.
Joe resigns or else “to spend more time with his family.”
Hey, the Progs are thiiiiis close to losing the best chance they’ve had to totally overthrow the Constitution, and they’re not gonna let a little dishonesty or a village idiot stand in their way. After all, history can be fixed.
2. Investigations would unearth clear treason within the administration, perhaps related to Hillary’s aide, Huma Abedin.

Is anyone else disturbed by Hillary’s comment that she claims administration decision-making experience during Bubba’s administration?

I’m pretty sure they already tried that and she told them to stick it (rightfully so). It looks to me like Hillary is trying to set herself up to look presidential, not vice-presidential. Not that she ever could, really. I don’t think she has much of a chance to beat Romney whether he’s running as an incumbent or not. Not even sure which would be worse for her, so she’s got nothing to lose right now.

As to the ” nasty” behind the scenes – How about the muzzies were supposed to kidnap, not kill, Amb. IMHO, there is a STRATEGIC issue that is fixing to affect the RAT Party, and to some degree, the Stoopid Party. If Romney wins this election, his Administration has a massive repair job! They will discover enough evidence to also begin criminal proceedings against a very large group of OBoBo`s administration.
Externally, the Proggie Bots are likely gonna come unglued!!!!! And THAT means trouble for all Americans. How that plays out may be the end for the RAT Party! BUT, unless and until the Establishment Republicans slowly get replaced with The Young Guns[...read Tea Party...] WE are facing very rough spot(s) in the Tea Party Patriot`s 40 Year Plan!
Add to this an international world-wide set of problems America can not ignore and you can imagine hot spots ALL over the planet. Today`s teenagers and children will grow up in the middle of all this, AND with the rotten School Systems in the USA, they will be at a disadvantage until x-amounts of them decide to get smart by OJT [on the job training...].
I imagine historians will some day write about a REFORMATION that began near the end of the 20th Century. It may be judged to have changed the world on a scale greater than anything that changed in The Middle Ages!!!!!

This is a VERY good thread. I wish I had time to think carefully about the postings on it and contribute, as there is a lot here for so few posts.
My comments are even shallower than usual:

It was my view that certain elements in the I.C./CIA were at war with W. during most if not all of his presidency. They have a lot of practice at this, and understand this game much better than the amateurs in the White House.
The same for Dept State. So far, ideological alliances have kept their malice in check, but that is likely falling apart now. It was my view for the last four years that State (by sheer coincidence, headed by someone Zero had just cheated out of the presidency) was helping the White House find small ways to embarrass itself, but given the ignorance and ego Captain Zero, it is just possible that he was merely finding ways to embarrass himself without help. (After all he’s convinced that he is always the smartest person in any room.)
6 + 7: This is interesting. I had not considered the possibility that the SEALs messed things up. I’m not sure that I buy it, but perhaps it is so. In that case the real narrative would be a little different than I suspected. However, if you do buy this idea, then you are giving some people credit for a little more cleverness than I think they can manage. [pauses for thought] Okayyy…. as a model for conspiratorial capabilities (and willingness) in the Zero Administration, maybe Fast and Furious is a reasonable yardstick….

I agree with TimO (3) on all points.
In addition, Team Obama is stuck with Biden. Nothing short of his death or incapacitation will remove him from the ticket. (not that death or incapacitation is out of the realm of possibility, but to me it seems like a low probability)
Hillary’s future ambitions depend on the outcome of this election. It is hard to visualize the landscape of 2016 from here. However, I do not put much stock in her claims that she’s not interested. Aside: it is probably in her best interests for Zero to loose this election. Impossible to know what she’s thinking, though.

The truth is that the Obama regime backed the forces who took out Gaddafi, which allowed Al Qaeda to move in. The ambassador was murdered by Al Qaeda forces who had been planning the attack while Swillary and company were pretending to not know.

Another problem is Biden saying he didn’t know about the call for extra security in Libya; neither did Obama. Irregardless of whether or not it’s true or false (grammarians, descend!), it shouldn’t take an Executive Order to send more security to the consulate.
It might not have helped, though, against 100 or so trained fighters, with heavy weapons.
