yeehaw
Cowboy Libertarians.
Well America, it is now officially nut cuttin’ time as the moment of truth has arrived. No more excuses, no more blaming everything and everyone else for the fix we are in and no more relying on the government for help. If you’re looking for a helping hand start by looking at the end of your own damn arm and go from there.
It’s time to get out that sharp knife so we can cut our way out of all the taxes, deficits, debt and regulations that are strangling the life out of our country and making us all wards of the state by creating a culture of dependency with government giveaway programs.
But remember, the government never gave anyone anything. They steal it from someone who earned it to give to someone who hasn’t.
…Nope, it’s going to be up to the people to lead America back to the trail laid out by our forefathers and into the tall grass of freedom and prosperity.
But that is only part of our problem.
While America’s fiscal and financial deficits are bad they aren’t half as bad as our ethics and values deficits. The Ten Commandments are now the Ten Suggestions and they are optional.
We have an ever encroaching Nanny state trying to run our lives. Look life has risk. We can’t legislate, regulate or litigate our way out of every problem.
And liberals drone on about making things “fair”.
But life isn’t fair and it’s not the government’s job to make it so.
Finally we need to get off our backsides and return to good old fashioned common sense and the real American values that have sustained us through good times and bad. …

Bureaucrats dangling from the street-lamps like ripe fruit?
That’s what it will take.
Claire, me too….. but Libertarians just end up being spoilers, usually for the GOP.
Yeeeeeeeee Haw!
Personally, I support the “common sense party” and on occasion they can be found just about anywhere.
Frankly I am as close to feeling like “A cat shitting peach seeds” about this election, as I never have before; including combat & airborne flight emergencies.
I wonder how many are thinking about this ONE election as determining the quality of their lives for as long as that may be? Good—or—miserable; that is where we are!
Part of that tree-trimming and nut-cutting involves local offices. There’s more nuts on the ballot than just the presidents.
Mayors, senators, congressmen, assemblymen, councilmen, dog-catchers – sweep away all the liberals, bring in conservatives (Republicans, when you can find them) all along the line.
Today’s concept of democracy: government of the people, by the politicians, for the special interests.
Emphasis on “of the people” – it means that it’s the people who are governed, not that the people decide the governing.
(That “concept” is from a short article by E. B. White, back in the 1940s.)
lol, Nut Cuttin’ Time. I first heard that phrase in the movie, Winter’s Bone.
Excellent movie, BTW.
