If I told you you’d never want to shake my hand.
    What? no, it’s not that…
Well yea but it’s not my “worst”. Oh dang it,
Rule #1 never admit it, even if you get caught
    Rule #2 never get caught
    ?
    Rule #3 profit

Look, I don’t know what you heard, but I am not hooked on coke.

    I just like the smell.

I buy guns that I know I’ll not ever shoot, and then buy some more.

Even if I am not really interested in a particular gun, if it is a good deal I’ll immediately be at about 95% toward buying it.

And I buy too much ammo and reloading dies, even in calibers for which I don’t own guns but maybe one day will, if the ammo and the dies are at decent prices.

I really like going to breakfast buffets and overeating….especially corned beef hash, bacon, sausage, ham, grits, and then drown it all in sausage gravy….(my cholesterol numbers are exceedingly good, thank you for asking)

So fellow Kispers, on a non-related note, I am in the market for a good recurve bow. Do you all remember the “Bear” brand recurves from the 1970′s?….looking for one of those or one like that in excellent condition, at least 50 pound draw, with all the accessories……Could even be interested in the fiberglass bows from the 60′s or 70′s if the draw weight is 40lbs or more….

Uh, let me get back to you on that.

Well, procrastination is right up there like the grinch’s sleigh full of Christmas.

And I’m beginning to wonder if I’m ADD. . . look, shiny squirrel!!!!!

I’d have to say I’m just too generous. And civil. Yeah, those are the two biggies.

Henri Claude, until you started talking about bows, I thought you was me. Except I don’t buy ammo for calibers I don’t have. Though for the life of me, I don’t know how I wound up with some Bri’ish .303.

And I can get in serious financial trouble in a used book store.

Can’t get out of bed in the morning. Been that way since childhood. I did get up and at ‘em and still do when I have to, but it’s a painful, dreaded process, full of aches and cobwebs. Getting worse as I age too.

    Kitties. Newest one is Leonardo….

….and there is no such thing as “too much ammo.’

Henri 7: I buy guns that I know I’ll not ever shoot, and then buy some more… Even if I am not really interested in a particular gun, if it is a good deal I’ll immediately be at about 95% toward buying it.

Look on the bright side, the guns are kinna benign, since they are passive. If it was wimmin instead of guns you was collecting, you’d likely be in a lot of trouble.

^ eg: I buy get guns wimmin that I know I’ll not ever shoot marry (or whatever), and then buy get some more… Even if I am not really interested in a particular gun woman, if it is a good dealshe looks good I’ll immediately be at about 95% toward buying it trouble.

….and there is no such thing as ‘too much ammo.’”

Unless your house is on fire or you’re trying to swim with it.

And I don’t figure any firearm I’ve bought will ever be worth less than I paid for it. Otherwise, it would still be in someone else’s hands. Sort of a savings account, if you will.

Now if I could just break that habit of “loaning” pistolas to pretty ladies that smile just right… Wait a minnit!! THAT’s my worst habit!!

    Interrupting people during conversation.

It’s a terrible habit, people won’t want to talk to you anymore.

Which is fine, I didn’t want them talking anyway, :-)

As those of you who knew me as babalu or eros total or makulit or any of my other handles, among my worst habits is a tendency to underexplain and leave out pertinent information when explaining things.

I’m just too laconic, too terse, always assuming the listener/reader can use his/her own imagination to fill in the blanks of my oft-vague generalizations and cryptic implications.

Perhaps if I fleshed things out, used more words, bigger words, longer sentences, multiple examples . . . . . .

  25. Posted October 19, 2012 at 6:12 am |

#1: Laziness. Some people call it procrastination. Whatever you call it, it’s still the number one problem with the whole world.

If more people (esp. me) were less lazy, the world would fix itself. We wouldn’t need to elect lazy politicians to not do it for us.

But I’ve finally decided to do something about it. I’ve been up since 4:00AM this morning, and I’ve done some house cleaning (hell, even the mold around here has been moving faster than me), had a big cup of coffee, and now I’m putting on my running shoes, getting in my car and driving for about 5 miles ’cause I’m out of cigarettes.

    #2: Cigarettes

Feigning morality for what is, in reality, laziness.

It might be laziness, but more likely procrastination.

It often manifests by spending too much time hanging out on blogs…. (oops)

I am a Scorpio/Sagittarian…..which leads to disturbing tendencies towards debauchery, ya know:
