Hay! I was just thinking of this last night…
We watched Jiro Dreams of Sushi and Pulling John this week end. They were both awesome and entertaining and the subtle messaging of hard work and dedication no matter what you choose to do was a neat common thread.
Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter on video. Surprised me

My question: Why did they mess around with the should-be dead Senator? Toss his fat, mouthy ass back in the drink and let’s get the hell OUTTA here…

Went to see Final Countdown at the theater in Norfolk, most of the movie was filmed there with the Nimitz tied up along the pier. Went with the soon to be Mrs. who was also a serving squid at the time. Her ship actually appears in the first 10 seconds of the film. She’s always been an enthusiastic lass. During the TomCat / Zero dogfight, she was pounding on my leg yelling F*** ‘em! I limped for a week. Still get a twinge every time I see that flick. This past Summer when we went to see Red Tails, I took along padding. Better safe than sorry.
