Connecticut: police state

Facebook is suspending user accounts that question the official narrative behind the Sandy Hook school massacre, following a warning by Connecticut State Police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance that “misinformation” posted on social media sites could result in prosecution. [more]

Now, look, I have no problem at all when a private company enforces their content policy or even skews information to support their own view of the world. After all, the service is their property; and it’s a free country. Jackassery of that sort can be fought by free speech and market choice.

However … (and this is a biiig “however”)
when that censorship is done at the behest of a government or under threat by a government,
well, now we have a problem.
(What? Yeah, scratch a ProgState, find a police state.)

Uh oh. I just sent the previous post about the CA Teacher’s union investing in Bushmaster rifles to my Facebook.

Looks like I might be getting a couple days off after all.

It’s been called fascism or nazism when the State and big business collude. Not good.

What all of us are seeing is an almost identical *replay* of every tragedy since back in the 1980s. Some of the voices are even from the same idiot who commented back then.

But, the *script* is unchanged! GUN CONTROL (…read: take ALL guns from us…) , NRA caused this, abolish the 2nd Amendment, guns kill people-not-people kill people, etc. ad naseum….

We are, naturally, going to have to forebear 1000 government committee investigations, again, every one of them really just *vibrating* for personal or political party *points*!

WE cannot ignore them because to do so risks losing OUR constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Sooo, we have to listen and perhaps respond to the more dangerous of a thousand *cures* that will not in any way, shape or form prevent insane human beings from killing other human beings…..

    The “irony” of this latest tragedy? That fucking years have passed since a radical Muslim slaughtered soldiers at Ft. Hood and STILL has not been punished!!!!!!!!! {…Where was Mayor Bloomberg for that??…}

Is it so surprising that a private corporation would comply with government directives — you know, the government that can get search and arrest warrants, send SWAT teams in, audit your books and hold you without probable cause? The private corporation isn’t really the problem.

The problem is the government agent who just assumed the right to tell a private company what and what not to publish.

We may need more ammunition. And I might have to buy my first firearm. My weapon of choice, sarcasm, doesn’t seem to be enough anymore

COL Jerry, the shitbag moslem hasn’t had his day in court yet because the lawyers can’t agree on whether he can grow a beard because he’s a moslem or must shave it because he’s an O-4 in the U.S. Army. Yannow, something he wasn’t allowed to do before he got shot and had to wear a uniform every day.

Expect maximum obfustication and and ass-clownery when he’s finally wheeled in to court and after sentence is passed.

I almost wish I gave enough shits about Facebook to have ever created a Facebook page, just so I could shut it down in protest.

Are they suspending user accounts over death threats against NRA members?

    Significant?

Well if, as they insist, “meat is murder”…I’d much rather get my fill of murder at the BBQ than at an elementary school.

    Just sayin.
