“A new executive order[*PDF] has been issued providing for a new pay schedule beginning ‘on the first day of the first applicable pay period beginning after March 27, 2013,’” reports FedSmith.com. “The pay raise will generally be about 1/2 of 1%.”

Was I mistaken in thinking that the only branch of gobt charged with spending The People’s Money is the House of Representatives?

    Normally, yes. But that presupposes that Congress passes budgets on a regular basis.

    Haven’t you ever wondered by the Senate has refused to bring the House’s budgets to a vote? If there’s no formal budget, you get to employ all sorts of neat workarounds to move money around the country, many of which wouldn’t stand the normal scrutiny of the budget process. It also helps that the MSM LRMC* averts its eyes.

    Yanno,Leni Riefenstahl really gets it sometimes, but all she really was was some broad with a camera. There’s no particular magic attached to her. She just knew how to push the button that said “On”. It’s like blaming Hugo Boss for all the Nazi atrocities just because he designed uniforms that were cooler than anybody else’s.
