The Daughters of the American Revolution, one of the nation’s oldest patriotic organizations, has erased any mention of Jesus Christ in their official book, removed prayers and poems that reference Christian imagery, and directed members to refrain from praying in the name of Christ, an outraged group of members alleged.
The dispute has been brewing for more than a year when DAR members learned that the newly revised Ritual and Missal books – the primary guide for chaplains – were altered. They noticed that the name of Jesus Christ had been omitted…

Did you search Google images for “Mormon Jesus” when you prepared this post?
^LOL!
Face palm, indeed.
Well…as imperfect as I am, I still stand by the Baby Jesus,
I was always taught that the sign of a demon controlled person is that the person could not say “Jesus Is Lord”
To me, sounds like one more leftist infiltration of a patriotic
American organization & wiping out the Christian aspects
& history of that organization! Kinda like what they’ve done
in all the public schools! I think that cultural & ideological
war has been ongoing & we’re just not admitting it yet!
Wassamatta, Jesus not up to DAR standards??
^ I think they sold him to Al Gorzeera for a tidy profit. Before taxes.
I guess the people pushing that want people to think the American Revolutionaries were Bolsheviks.
I haven’t checked any current history texts, but it would not surprise me to find that the fact that the Founding Fathers had near 100% membership in a Christian Church – Anglican or Episcopal, Presbyterian, Congregational, Unitarian, Roman Catholic, Quaker; with a couple of Deists for good measure – is now deleted from the texts and we’ll now find they were all slave holding Satanists or money grubbing lawyers and merchants who cheated and robbed the common people and stole from the collection plate.
I used to read a lot of 17th and 18th century documents and found the mention of God near universal whether in wills, court documents, and letters, and even inventories often mentioned a Bible.
As English citizens up until the Declaration, anyone in the colonies had to take holy communion within three months of taking any civil or military public office, and the civil government was organized into church parishes with the church vestrymen acting in the function of today’s county board of supervisors.
I’d say that’s pretty doggone Christian, and these revisionists just can’t stand the idea that acknowleging our heritage might, heaven forbid, offend some Johnny come lately.
Fuggem.
My cousin traced the family lineage back to the Colonial times and found enough evidence to qualify as a DAR, which she has joined about 15 years ago. I am sure plenty of people have a link they don’t know about though. Our ancestor was mustered out to the Old North Bridge, Battle of Lexington Concord. We don’t know how much he got involved in. I think he was later “warned out” of his place in Farmingham, Mass. Articles like this and the gun grabbing (registration, my @ss) aren’t sitting too well.
I’m gonna go with Lance and dick’s comments about Bolshevik infiltration. I don’t care if that does make me sound like a gun-toting, Jesus-loving, scrotum-sucking straight white guy from North Hollywood. And that would make me pretty rare right there. Or maybe not.
If we’ve lost the DAR, it might just be time to start over. Waiting for it to fix itself is not going to work.
Most of my ancestors were murdered by Injuns back in the Idaho and the DAR even put up a monument there to commemorate the Ward Massacre. You can look it up. It wasn’t pretty. http://www.360cities.net/image/ward-massacre-park-canyon-county-idaho-usa#357.30,0.40,70.0
And what has the DAR done lately?
God, that is horrible, Hog. Sorry that happened. Got another ancestor who got even with some of them Injuns when he married one. I know there are a few Upper Peninsula Michigan porch “wolverines” here. These ancestors were Chippewa, just west of that area around LaPoint, Wisc.
And a belated Happy Hogmanay to you and the rest of the porch.
We should recognize that all this anti Christian stuff has its origin in the same place.
Mom was a DAR. She’s rolling right about now. PC Bitches.
Wollf from what I’ve heard she’s not the only one. I think those who aren’t will be doing something about it.
Why do these jackasses have to be anti?
Why can’t they be just, you know, tolerant?
(What? Well, yeah, jackass kind’a says it all.)
I wonder if we would have all these problems, if every body thought about our future? We are all gonna be oil and shale gas in that future!
Okay,
add this to the 48-hr rule example list.
(What? *heh* Yeah, mebbe I should’a waited 48 hrs before posting their denial, too.)
Yanno whut? I just noticed that Fort Apache, [with you know who] is on for free on Amazon Prime [which I still haven't paid anything for]. I turned the first free month into two free months by calling customer service and complaining about something. I forget exactly whut.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love fuck with Customer Service? But in a nice way. No yelling, no name-calling, no telling them how stupid they are [even if they actually are], just nice friendly banter, which I have now learned how to do with a Hindi accent. I should be selling this shit.
Anyway, Fort Apache is on now, and maybe I’ll even get through half of She Wore A Yellow Ribbon before I take my morning nap.
When I wake-up, I expect I’ll have me a huge John Wayne-on, so I wouldn’t stand too close right at first.
Well it seems they left the name Jesus in a parenthetical statement about Easter, down from 40. And from the rest i read, the changes from the 2008 book to the 2011 book are significant. Not total yet, but a major difference and dilution of the Christian foundations and traditions of the organization (and America).
Teh letter from management sounds like a cat scratching on linoleum to cover stuff up.
I don’t know if I have any relatives in the first American Revolution, but I question if there were many moslems in the original 13 colonies.
For us, tolerance is a fuse. (Burns out at overload to protect the machine.)
To ‘them’, tolerance is a diode (one way only, we must tolerate them but they needn’t tolerate us).

Never heard it described exactly that way [and I'm still not exactly sure what it means], but I like it!
I would not say leftist infiltration but surely Atheist.
And look at all the founding fathers writings.. most of them wrote about God alot.
Who funds these ‘Daughters of the American Revolution’? Chavez?
How true, and they can ‘frack’ me when the time comes.
