Historical note: At the Battle of Little Bighorn, Custer’s troopers had single-shot carbines, while Sitting Bull’s braves had repeaters with 13-15 round mags.

(looks at bullet-dented sheriff’s badge)
“Well, that must have saved the life of the man wearing it.”
“Well, it sure would have, if it wasn’t for all them other bullets flyin’ in from every which way…”

… and he left the Gatling behind, too.
All I can come up with is a simple question.
When is this damn nightmare going to be over?
The nightmare does not end. Sorry.
You notice that, even with all the preparation, even with all the time they’ve been wet-dreaming of this, Obama STILL says ‘clips’ and whatever?
Do they just not care about even trying to use correct terminology, or do they think they have so much emotion invested in those terms that they can’t give them up?
“Do they just not care about even trying to use correct terminology,…”
As retired military, my eyes sometimes bleed as I read the crap the so-called journalists put out regarding military matters. A lot of very basic errors. And it long ago occurred to me, if they’re getting this wrong, what else are they getting wrong (answer: pretty much everything).
Their ignorance about firearms is a cultural marker, a sign of membership in the proper tribe. They don’t need to know anything about guns, they have people for that.
Exactly.
I sent another year’s dues to the NRA.
If we end up losing our Second Amendment Rights, then the rest are right behind. And that’s exactly what the fraud of a President and all his lap dogs, butt lickers and presstitutes want.
I absolutely will not give up my guns, my Bible or my big mouth.
By the way, every member of Congress has all the evidence against the Monkey Boy and not one has the guts to do a damn thing with it.
Buy more ammo every chance you get.
This WILL get dicey.
DougM, are you insinuating that Gen. George Armstrong Custer
& his men died because they didn’t have ‘high capacity magazines’?
^ Which is why they don’t want us to have them.
By the way, do not be distracted: this hullabaloo is all about retaking the House of Reps in 2014… that and “remaking America.”
Lance, Custer died for more than that. He “earned” his reputation leading men who were well supplied with grain fed horses against men mounted on an inadequate number of worn out, grass fed horses. I doubt if he ever faced a superior force in the Civil War.
At Little Bighorn, when outnumbered by a force both better armed and mounted, he proved he was a military genius by dividing his own force so that his half of the men could become famous by being wiped out,
But he did have the best hair on the battlefield,
Sitting Bull out-generaled him. Sucked him in and stomped him into a little greasy spot on the Greasy Grass.
O.K., gang. Google/Bing/whatever “Rodney King riots Korean”, read the stories, watch a video or two, and then tell me you’ll never need a > 10 shot magazine and that the government will take care of you and your property. No, seriously. Take a look.
Even Custer`s injun scouts told him, “There are thousands of injuns in that camp! If you are gonna go on, we ain`t goin with you!”
Custer replied, “No worries, I got Marine close air support aircraft on call!” (…I may have confused myself—cuz it seemed to me that, well, you got one US Army battle, you got em all….) turns radio off; jinks into a cloud deck, fires APX-32 Prayer Wheels to confuse injun SAM operators…

He left the Gattlings behind because “no one would ever need that much firepower”.
Also, MS announces that “no one will ever need more than 64K of RAM.
Quote of the day: Robert A. Heinlein on elections
“Elections are won not by converting the opposition but by getting out your own vote, and Scudder’s organization did just that. According to histories I studied at Boondock, the election of 2012 turned out 63 percent of the registered voters (which in turn was less than half of those eligible to register); the True American party (Nehemiah Scudder) polled 27 percent of the popular vote… which won 81 percent of the Electoral College votes.”
“In 2016 there was no election.”
–Robert A. Heinlein, To Sail Beyond the Sunset, 1987 »

So the dream is Hillary?
