Thank God for our veterans.
I’ve seen gun owners threatened and name called in the media and by so-called leaders of our local, State and Federal governments lately until I feel like throwing up.
No other group, with the exception of those of the Christian faith, could be threatened and bullied like what I’ve seen in the past few weeks.
While it is refreshing to see this video, it seems that it is a rarity, with media and letter writers to leftist news outlets calling gun owners in general and NRA members in particular “terrorists’”and “fringe groups”.
I do believe the opposition is doing so with the intent of inciting a violent response of some sort from the American gun owner.
We must not fall into their obvious trap.
We must take the high road and let THEM roll in their own feces.
It always helps when you make your presentation with your hands in your pockets. This makes people think that you’re serious. Or maybe not.

Eight council members for a city of 12,000!!!!??? LOL.
Also, did you notice that at the beginning of the clip there are several rows of people sitting in the audience and by the middle there is one row and only a few people. WTH is that all about?
I like that mayor. I wonder how he got elected in these parts. Voters must not have been paying very close attention.

It’s normal at city council or zoning board meeting for attendance to drop off through the night. Everyone attending has an item on the agenda. When their business is done, they go home.
If someone there is being a dick, the stragglers might linger to gawk, but only until it stops being fun.

Actually the proper answer to “Are you armed?” is
“None of your business.”
If you are legally armed: in most States, the only requirement to state that you’re armed is if you are approached by a LEO. Then you must inform him that you are armed and have a carry permit. Otherwise, it’s nobody else’s damned business. Concealed means concealed.
If you are illegally armed: you are protected by the Fifth Amendment.

We had a similar situation, here, in Pinehurst. When the town council banned carry in the local parks, they heard from us. (The ordinance was revoked, and a move to review the issue later was answered by “No, we won’t.”)
During that council meeting, one guy was freaked to discovered that there was no prohibition against weapons in the meeting rooms. When freak guy made a motion to review that “lapse,” there was a chorus of “Why?” from the audience and council members. Yeah, it was a good meeting. Not as great as in the vid, but pretty danged good.

i agree with Caged and Doug.
Which brings me to a true story of life, even in the most conservative County in Western WA, the one just south of ThurstonLympia.
A few years back, I was called for jury duty. At one of the jury selection interrogation sessions, the prospective jurors were asked if any owned firearms. I, of course, raised my hand. The defense lawyer asked me why, and I replied, “I don’t need a reason”.
I was promptly excused from that trial.

Oh, and it’s not fair to call that guy a Major Douche.
PFC Douche, maybe.
(What? Well, okay, yeah, that’d be an insult to PFCs, too.)
He had a point about the hats, though.
Personally, I like his hairdon’t.

Great comments.
So one could consider the mayor to be “Dudley Do Right”?
Multiple cheers and a raised glass to him and the bold veteran.

To choose or not to choose.
We are granted the choice to or not to.
Those who make their choice may not Impose their choice on those who choose differently.
There are laws against those who abuse those choices.
Enforce them on the abusers not the law abiding.
Our choices are about to be taken away.

How much you want to bet that the city hall in Oak Harbor has deputies or police officers – armed – at the doors? Councilman Prissy McPussycramps only fears an armed citizen not on his payroll it seems.

reply: “This town hall isn’t pigeon enough for the two of us!”
