Polls are not news. Nothing happened. A poll not a vote unless everybody gets a vote and the vote is implemented. If it is an issue that could be voted on, and you get polling on it by politicians instead of a vote, it’s because the politicians are afraid that if they put it to an actual vote, people won’t vote as desired by the politician. And if the poll is published by some news organization, it’s because the news organization found an easy and lazy way to provide intellectual-looking wordfiller without actually being required to do any actual investigation and research.
