In Texas, we have a more modest view of government.

“Attempts to put law-abiding gun makers out of business hardly qualify as ‘modest common-sense gun control.’ Instead, they are a manifestation of an unabashed agenda to deprive law-abiding citizens of our right to keep and bear arms.

“Your continued anti-gun crusade may well cause some to wonder if the interests of the citizens of Chicago are being sacrificed in pursuit of a partisan agenda…

Regardless, directing your attack at legitimate firearms manufacturers undermines the Second Amendment rights of millions of Texans. In the future, I would ask that you might keep your efforts to diminish the Bill of Rights north of the Red River.”

Drop him a line — let him know what you think.

Ted Cruz believes strongly in the 10th Amendment, as do our Governor Rick Perry and AG Greg Abbott. Our two US senators were among only three who opposed Kerry’s SecState nomination(the other senator was Inohofe of our neighbor state Oklahoma). Texas may be the focal point of our next revolution. “Come and take it”.

Britain outlawed guns and they have much lower rate of gun homicide. Of course, that has to be balanced by a much higher rate of violent crimes including triple our rape rate. Gangs of hooligans and Muslims who know the proper role for women are, if not exactly grateful, then happy that the government went to all that trouble to disarm their victims.
