irony in the cross hairs

Patrick Howley, February 2013:

Los Angeles police launched a manhunt Thursday for former LAPD officer Christopher Dorner, who is suspected of murdering two people last weekend and killing one person and wounding another in a shooting Thursday morning. A lengthy manifesto on Dorner’s Facebook page states his support for President Barack Obama and CNN host Piers Morgan, and his hatred of both the National Rifle Association and former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney…

“[G]ive Piers Morgan an indefinite resident alien and Visa card..”

“Mr. Morgan, the problem that many American gun owners have with you and your continuous discussion of gun control is that you are not an American citizen and have an accent that is distinct and clarifies that you are a foreigner. I want you to know that I agree with you 100% on enacting stricter firearm laws.”…

This one will really get the press to scratching their heads; especially if an armed private citizen ends up shooting this psychopath, progressive former police officer.

Hopefully, the only other person hurt in all of this is Dorner. At the rate things are going, if somebody doesn’t take him out soon, the police are going to shoot a bunch of innocent civilians.

Too late, Jess. 2 women were shot early this morning in Torrance, while delivering newspapers. Another vehicle was shot up in a separate incident, also in Torrance.

Piers Morgan looks to me like someone who was born with an acid stomach and never quite got over it. Taking advice from him on our internal affairs is like getting all one’s news from Jon Stewart.

Normally a routine British accent sits very comfortably in my ear, but twaddle is twaddle whether spoken by Sir Larry Olivier or Private Gomer Pyle. Why on earth would we want to take advice and counsel from a declining nation anyway, one which frittered away an empire and pleaded for us to bail them out of their problems with Germany, twice?

I’ve scratched my head for years. They pay to keep royalty in the finest accommodations, yet they don’t let them do anything except photo ops and tabloid stories about their commoner spouses. Maybe they like to be reminded how screwed up things can be if you allow only one family to make all the decisions.

How many innocent citizens have the cops shot now? Four at the last i heard.

And the whistleblowing that got the guy fired in the first place was later found to be true.

    What a mess.

Notice how no one is saying ‘oh what a surprise this could ever happen in our friendly little community’. People don’t even look up if they hear distant gunfire. they just pretend to think its fire crackers.urban

So to Piers Morgan if it’s a right winger then there is linkage between his beliefs, associations, and his actions. But if he is a left winger… why he was just off his rocker and no big deal!

Yea kind of like how Obama says it’s always someone else’s fault when things go bad (but he got Bin Laden, not the SEALS, not the Military, but Obama spiked the ball!)

And yes it would be funny if a CCW holder caped the killer, but see that is one reason they don’t want civilians to have or pack guns. Looks bad when a civilian saves they day and the cops don’t.

Interestingly, you seem to have found the only article that mentions the killer supporting Obama!

Other articles say he praised “politicians” and sports figures, and go on to focus on his admiration for Tim Tebow. Nothing to see here, people … move along.

Oh, and among his arsenal was an … ASSAULT RIFLE. An assault rifle. He obviously has some latent Tea Party tendencies stirring within him which have driven him crazy and made him go on a killing spree …

    MFM delenda est.

Because they are transparently hypocritical liars.

I believe in strong protections for free speech, but when someone is a *serial* prevaricator they need to be publicly shamed, and the MFM will not do that to their “print and broadcast brethren,” as long as they follow the “correct” ideology.

It is absolutely and possibly lethally toxic for our nation.

You people don’t understand. They blame the gun and they say the person must have been a republican. It is the gun’s fault because republicans are not crazy.
When they find out the person was a democrat it becomes a mental health issue because they know every democrat has mental problems.

I’m socked SOCKED that a deranged killer supports stronger gun control laws. Why, you’d think the violent offender actually prefers unarmed victims.

I sincerely hope that this freak is brought down by an armed citizen. The media could not be silent on that, and it would show that cops are no better than anyone else.

    Or in THIS case…

The police have no real mandated duty to protect citizens.

Scary huh, watching it play out?

That’s why I hope a citizen puts about ten holes in the guy.

Oh, and forgot to tell you, that because he’s black and has committed a heinous crime, opposing him still makes me a racist. And NASCAR hasn’t even started up yet.

This incident, including the shooting up of random blue pickup trucks, demonstrates why it is so important that all gun control laws apply equally to law enforcement personnel.

Uncle Peirs and Papa Barack need to due an on air broadcast and appeal to this lost sheep of the democrat party. Get him to turn himself in and after a good telling off he can get in line maybe for a cabinet position.

You folks hoping that an armed citizen stops this shooter must have missed the fact that this is happening in CA. Celebrities, millionaires, and politicians get carry permits. Or else their security details do.

    Citizens don’t.

Steve, most counties in CA are roughly shall-issue. It’s mainly LA and the Bay Area that aren’t. Even Sacramento issues permits to citizens.

Mind you, LA and SF are big populations, but it’s not the whole damned state.

Is anybody surprised that Obama hasn’t come out on national TV and talked about this one?

He did, when the loony Harvard perfesser got hissef arrested.
He did, when the Boy Scouts decided to keep admitting homosexuals.
He did, just today, when a high-school football player got a tattoo for one college, then decided to go to another (certainly not because they offered him more perks).
He did, after the school shootings.
He did, on other occasions, where a President would not normally get involved (can anyone imagine Eisenhower making appearances like that? (that’s assuming anyone remembers who Eisenhower was)).

But here, curiously silent. Maybe it’s because the shooter wrote about him in his Last Will & Testement.

At any rate, this story is going to be our Bread and Circuses for a few weeks, so we don’t have to worry any more a bout trillion-dollar deficits and rising unemployment and falling GNP and unlimited immigration and gas going over $4/gallon and the East Coast buried in snow and …

Papa Barack needs to do an on air broadcast and invite Shooter to the White House for a beer summit. I’m sure this was just a misunderstanding Lightbringer can smooth over. After all, 4 Americans murdered at Benghazi and he made that go away, no?
