“There oughta be a LAW!!!” …or something

In the United States, there are no laws against cannibalism per se

“I’ve got to defend my children, and yours, and do what’s right to save lives,” [Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg] said.

… “arbitrary and capricious,” … unworkable and unenforceable, with confusing loopholes and voluminous exemptions.

has anyone noticed the similarities between banning only some drinks and only some guns?

just sayin…

Claire, it’s in the Prog method family, where blacks and homos can be hate crime victims, but whites and heteros cannot, where islam in school is OK, but Christianity is not; where you have to show photo ID to get into a political convention, but its racist to require one to vote; it’s all a part of the war on freedom and the “laws for thee are mere suggestions for me” meme.

Must be laws against serving dogs, cats, and horses, so the analogy is imperfect.
Prob’ly nuthin’ against eatin’ rats, though.
(What? Well, yeah, that might count as cannibalism in some quarters.)

On the other hand, yeah, I see the similarity in control-freakiness.

Freedom of Choice, but only freedom to make the right choice.
