    Perhaps they were a tad miffed at getting a nonsensical answer to a serious question.

    The entire world knows he’s a joke.

    Well, except for about half of the people in the US.

    Actually, there were like four or five pitifully faint claps from somebody.
    Kripes, it was like a movie scene where a speaker ends up with a fake grin, moving his eyes back and forth and sweating.

    Reminded me of this joke.

    (What? Yeah, no-applause could’a been the groundrule for the session.)

    Yannow, we’re all a bunch of dummies.
    No one else clapped because they all fainted.

    The applause sign was stuck in the luggage of the SS agents who were sent home.

    That’s progress, a step in the right direction. He’s gone from:
    crowd adulation/fainting->scripted cherry picked audience->polite applause->one hand clapping->

    I’m waiting for ->jeer him->throw shoes->rush the podium and beat him->tar and feathers->handcuffs and frogwalk

    He mentioned the Rule of Law. Since he’s a reknowned Constitutional Scholar (koff, koff), he really should know what that means.

    Most all of what he’s done regarding the [Un]Affordable Care Act has been contrary to the Rule of Law.

    What do we mean by “rule of law”?

    In short, the rule of law is a system of government in which a society adopts or maintains a set of good, just, and fair laws by which it and its government will be governed. The nasty alternative to such a system, of course, is one in which the government can do whatever it wants and the people have no way to refuse laws that they don’t think are good, just, or fair.
