your afternoon facepalm

Can’t make this stuff up:

Back in March 2014, a Mississippi concealed weapons permit holder walked into Keith’s Superstore. As he began shopping, he noticed 29 year-old … begin stabbing the store[']s manager.

The concealed weapons permit holder drew his weapon, stopped the assault immediately, and held Williams at gunpoint until the police arrived. The store[']s manager was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but she did survive and make a successful recovery.

Wait for iiiiiit …

[Since then,] Keith’s Superstore has posted a “No Guns” signs on their front doors. [story]

Yeah … yeah I know.

Original story

Here’s another beaut:

Dante Williams … and his accomplice … walked into the Waffle House restaurant and “terrorized” the customers … intent on robbing it at gun point. Upon being approached by Williams, gun in hand, one of the patrons … – who also had a concealed weapon on him but had an actual permit for it – shot Williams in self-defense, killing him “almost instantly,” …

Williams’s cousin … is saying that although what he did was wrong, he shouldn’t have died and is calling for stricter gun laws. [story]

Looks like armed robbers need a more powerful union.

I’d be shocked, but this sort of flat out stupidity is so common these days it’s normal.

I was expecting to read how the CCW guy was arrested and was being sued by Keith’s.

The world is inside-out these days.

Thad Cochran supporters were involved in this, except for the guy with the gun.

^ Go ahead, pile on. I’m still seeing red over the race baiting tactics used in that election. That and the gross stupidity of open primaries.
We’re stuck with open primaries here in Virginia, and when I complained in the past, I’ve been told not to worry, Virginians are good people. The fools are ignoring the Great Cancer spreading south from DC.
Now, I have some more fodder to dump on my Republican delegate’s desk.

    Virginians are “good people”?

I guess I need to get out a lot more then, because up here near DC it’s a sewage dump as far as “people” go. There’s a few good ones here or there, but the rest? Anything but “good people”.

^ CI – that’s “The Great Cancer” I was referring to.
A lot of our delegates are kinda sheltered, never get to the big city. They aren’t dumb, but haven’t yet realized that the current Virginia Dem Party is not the rural Virginia Dem Party of 1950, but a virulent concoction of marxist, statist traitors centered on northern Virginia and Norfolk, all hellbent on transforming America into a welfare centered, regulated to the nth degree, 3rd world shithole with them running it and getting plenty of perks, skimmed goodies and exemptions from the avalanche of taxes and regulations that will bury us proles.

So I guess the next guy to save the store manager from a knife attack would have to be the armed robber waiting for the Brinks Truck.

A real Liberal always puts the sign up just before the TV cameras arrive.

The sign is to prevent the unhappy possibility of a felon getting shot in their store in commission of a crime.

The store manager could have held off the attack by claiming he/she had aids. No need for guns.

By the way, it is clear that this was just a management/(ex)employee personnel management issue; the CCW should not have interfered in the store’s internal affairs.

So, I had an epiphany last night. It was one of those things that you know in the back of your mind, but haven’t yet put into words or truly pondered.

The second amendment was codified at a time when it was believed the citizenry should be able to have the power to overthrow the government if it turned tyrannical. It occurred to me if at any time an armed citizenry cannot overthrow the government if it turned tyrannical, then the government is too big.

The gun free zone sign is just policy. The concealed carry weapon is The Law. You can still exercise your 2nd amendment rights despite the gun free zone policy because your rights trump any policy or law.

However, can you imagine the rending of clothes and the gnashing of teeth by the libtards if a CCW holder saw the crime in commission and did nothing, due to the store policy, allowing the store manager to die?

Trust me. The ‘tards and their propaganda arm have made this a real life Kobyashi Maru.

Have you ever heard of the Sullivan Law. That is the law that prevents people in New York from having guns and limiting self defense. Sullivan was a crook. No, not the usual politician, he was the head of a major New York gang and entered politics. One of his first acts was to protect his guys.

11^, and now the story about the hallway pooping at EPA makes sense. Just a female employee fighting off a rapist. Good memory.

Yeah, we need stricter gun laws. Like, when you discharge a weapon at a LAW-BREAKER, you WILL be reimbursed by the Gummint Weenies for your expenses.

    *heh* Right you are.

Wellll … here in NC, the LAW says you are trespassing if a private property owner or business manager tells you that guns are not allowed, CCH or otherwise, by word or by a sign prominently displayed. If you are told to leave and don’t, you face a misdemeanor trespassing charge.
Then again, concealed means concealed, so how are they to know?
Just be aware that you do not have a legal right to carry on private property if the owner or manager forbids it.
When I encounter that sign (not many around here), I point out that I will not be shopping there anymore; because they are advertising this place as a defenseless-victims zone, which attracts violent criminals, and that they are putting their customers in danger from the time they leave their cars in the parking area, not just inside their store.
