How Can We Miss You If You Never Leave?

The Bible says, beware of false prophets. And there are people out there spreading, you know, noise about how much can get done.

We got groups here in town, members of the House and Senate here in town, who whip people into a frenzy believing they can accomplish things they know — they know! — are never going to happen.

You have it backwards, Mister Speaker. The people who sent you to Washington were already “whipped into a frenzy,” as you put it, and gave you a mandate for vigorous opposition to President Obama and his unprecedented power grab. As a leader of the opposition, you were expected to… you know, oppose these policies / Executive Orders / bureaucratic directives. Instead, rather than “check and balance” (to coin a phrase) the Administration’s heavy handed actions, you collaborated with them. In so doing, you betrayed your supporters, abdicated your obligation to uphold the authority of Congress under the Constitution, and greatly accelerated the President’s “Fundamental transformation” of the United States, not to mention the minor detail that you violated your Oath of Office. So now you sob that your erstwhile supporters no longer like you. After all, you couldn’t help it!

As for your cowardly view that stopping or even slowing down the Leftist Radical agenda is “never going to happen,” why, pray tell, do you believe everything the Leftists enact, no matter how outrageous or extraconstitutional, is perfectly acceptable, but any and all attempts to oppose or repeal them are crazy and unrealistic? I only give thanks you live now and did not hold a position of authority in the Continental Congress more than two centuries ago.

You are a disgrace to your office, Congress, the United States, and quite possibly the entire human race.

To put it more succinctly, kindly shut your pie hole and get off the stage, you craven, sniveling, corrupt jackass.

Fawkes, of course I share your viewpoint, and there has to be some penalty for having Boehnered the United States Congress for four plus years, or however long it’s been.

That said, I’m not sure there’s anyone who isn’t going to do a worse job. Even in good times, Speaker of the House is a very tough job, and even a good congressperson (assuming there is such a person) doesn’t necessarily have the very different skill set to do Speakership well.

This is particularly the case since the moves that might lead to some actual conservative wins won’t necessarily be the ones much liked by the hardest core of the Republican congressional base.

However, I’m going to retain a little hope, and we’ll see what happens.

    ***BUT***

The thing that has to happen for any Speaker to get much done is for McConnell to go. Rather than take up space here with why I think so, here’s a HotAir article that covers enough of the points to make mine: http://hotair.com/archives/2015/09/28/rnc-vice-chairman-mcconnell-must-resign/

The problem, of course, is howinhell to do that?

The RINO herd considers the TEApartiers renegades, rebels, troublemakers, dissidents, potstirrers, and on and on and on.

Well, wasn’t that what it was all about when voters gave the GOP a huge majority in the House?

So now they’ll just go merrily along, replacing Boehner with Boner Lite.

It’ll be like Claudius replacing Rosencrantz with Guildenstern.

He’s going to clean up the barn before he leaves. His leaving will clean out the barn. Nothing was done because he was the leader. He’s learned from the best to blame others for their failures. Those garbage smelling t partiers make promises they can’t keep—-

Notice Spraytan John is staying around long enough to work with his butt buddy Mitch “Uhbama’s Bitch” McConnell to pass a CR that will fund Captain Benghazi for the rest of his term. Even in departure, he’s an accessory to treason.
He can’t leave soon enough for me.

And McConnell, if anything, is a bigger self-aggrandizing coward and liar then Boehner. IinD, you’re so right: “Mitch” must go.

Ironic – I know that Speaker is a hard job. If Boehner didn’t want it, he didn’t have to take it. Or, he could have stepped down at any number of times.

Instead, he a McConnell have wasted their majority status by slurping at Obama’s crotch like a pair of Submissive slaves licking their master clean after an evening of scat play.

There’s a big difference between “not doing good enough” and “actively throwing your entire voting base down the elevator shaft in order to please your Democrat Master”.

If I had my way, both Boehner and McConnell would be tarred and feathered, then ridden out of town on a rail. And that would only be if I were in a good mood. I’m not in a good mood.

The crying yes-man was duped (again). Memo to Speaker Boehner: don’t put any stock in ‪#‎Obama‬ calling you a “patriot”. We’re talking about a prez who doesn’t know the first thing about being one.

I always liked a line from the old BBC production of “Smiley’s People”, the old Russian refugee woman:

“My first husband was killed in the war. My second was a Jew. He died of a surfeit of opinions…”
