ToDaZeD Iron

takes fossil fuels to mine and refine iron, too

“We believe strongly that the only thing that historically and consistently brought about the kind of social change of the rapid pace that we need to confront the threat of climate change, Is mass disobedient movements” said Ahmed Gaya, a BreakFreePNW organizer, .”

Now, *I* would think that if there were a problem with how an intelligent, capable people obtained the cheap energy that allowed them to become the most technologically advanced and wealthy people in Human History, they might seek a technological, scientific answer to the problem as opposed to a social restructuring.

Just Me?™

Something else I didn’t know:

…there were tribes from Alaska natives to the Makah to the Navajo and so many in between are here. All of them deeply concerned about the changes in the climate that are impacting the Earth.

Here’s the brainiacs ‘protesting’ by blocking the rail tracks with their nylon tents, their gortex clothing, and various other plastic and metal implements:

no skin tents nor bark shelters in evidence… funny, that.

Here is the water contingent of the ‘protest’ in their rotomolded polyethylene kayaks having driven to the water’s edge in their …Piouses? With the rare earth batteries?

Amazing to No One, there was about a ton of debris left behind when, in a completely unforeseen consequence to civil disobedience, they were forced to leave.

Which was summarily deposited right into the landfill… Using heavy machinery.

[This was] part of a coordinated effort called Break Free 2016, which included protests and marches in Australia, Germany, Brazil, Turkey, Indonesia and Nigeria, among other places

Bet those went well…

I live at the foot of the mountain. Lots of caves around. Maybe I should stake one out, just in case.

    Burn all the trees.
    Smoke all the tobacco.

(What? Well, kill all the mastodons and fight all the invading aliens don’t have anything to do with the topic at hand.)

Even though they’re scientifically wrong, I might at least respect them a little bit if they walked their talk, but Claire has pointed out their hypocrisy.
When I’m King For A Month, away goes everything they have made by any process that used electricity or petrochemicals.
They’ll be naked in the woods, chipping brush for shelters with rocks or sleeping in hollow logs and grubbing for worms for food.
    Now comes the good part.
They’ll be protested by PETA for cruelty to worms.

At least they’ll have to install wood-burning fireplaces in all those housing units where they were banned or where there’s oil heat or electrical heat run by coal/natural-gas.
    Ahh, smell that city air.

(What? Yeah, we’re gonna need to build more hospital burn units.)

Those plug in electric cars get their electricity from either fish-killing dams, Nuclear power plants, or fossil fuel plants.

Wind and solar power hardly register.

Be sure to congratulate the next electric car owner you see on his choice to use a nuclear/coal powered car.

The more of this shit I see, the more I believe we are headed for a bloody revolution.

I don’t think there is any kind of political solution to the condition of the republic.

I don’t advocate violence but it sure seems to be the way things are headed.
Even the “tolerant and diverse ” left became violent last weekend in NV.

The national D convention will require a National Guard response.

The National R convention will be just as bad, but guess which one will be on the national narrative media.

Some things we can just Depend on. No time for Pampering now.
