Deep Thoughts by BO-rack

how does such an …odd Vision even make it out of a Jr High classroom?

President Barack Obama told a roomful of foreign ambassadors July 15:

I think [sic] have to step back [from the Nice attack] and reflect on what we are doing to eliminate this kind of chronic violence. It’s been a difficult several weeks in the United States.

But the divide … is between people who recognize the common humanity of all people and are willing to build [international] institutions that promote that common humanity, and those who do not — those who would suggest that somebody is less than them because of their tribe, or their ethnicity, or their faith, or their color.

And those impulses [for solidarity] exist in all our countries. And those impulses, when we do not speak out against them and build strong institutions to protect people from those impulses, they can take over, they can be unleashed — so that all of us [international leaders] have responsibilities.

So, Human Nature can be overcome by “strong institutions”. “Strong International Institutions”

Interesting idea.

“…we will defeat these ideologies by offering a better vision of development and economic progress, so people, especially young people, have more hope and opportunity and are less susceptible to extremism and violence in the first place,…”

Yessir! People’s cultures and beliefs will actually become fond memories — like Grandma’s quaint recipes — meaningless in the face of a $20/hour job and a solid benefits package. Ghod, Family, Heritage, Culture, Tradition — *p00f* gone in the face of some sparkly electronic toys and an indoor toilet.
…which things, themselves, are emblematic of one, particular Culture.
BTNIN. Look! a Squirrel!!

Yeppers — that’ll work great!

And if the job and toys aren’t really enough, we’ve always got the “strong, global institutions” to step in and correct the Problem.

Yippie!! World Peace, here we come!

On November 2014 , BaRack also sed:

But here, part of what’s wonderful about America is also what makes our democracy hard sometimes, because sometimes we get attached to our particular tribe, our particular race, our particular religion, and then we start treating other folks differently.

And that, sometimes, has been a bottleneck to how we think about immigration. If you look at the history of immigration in this country, each successive wave, there have been periods where the folks who were already here suddenly say, well, I don’t want those folks. Even though the only people who have the right to say that are some Native Americans.

Which “Native Americans” don’t have that “right”? [you gonna tell ‘em? cuz I’m not bringing it up] I assume he’d be talking about the first folks over the Bering Sea bridge? How do you track them? And how do you limit that group: first 150? first 1,500? first 15,000? And howinhelll do you track only their direct descendants — who, of course, are the onliest ones allowed to express an opinion on newcomers? Over 12-20,000 years?!? That’s one helluva task…

So according to yur Theory, only people who originated or first settled in a geographic area are able to say, “I don’t want those latecomers here”?

srsly? Ya gonna move the whole world’s population around according to your theory, or does this apply only to the territory known as the USofA? Why are we so special? What about the Mongols? The Celts? The Saxons? The Aryans? The Goths? The 12 Tribes?

… The Moslems?

our particular religion, and then we start treating other folks differently.
Yeah, I hear ya Buraq. As Protestants, we’ve always refused to talk with Catlickers and Buddists, and even take a potshot at ‘em when they walk in our neighborhood. We march in solidarity with Luther and Calvin, ‘n death t’ them Popists and fat statue worshipers.

What a rotten turd of a human being Buraq is; divide, divide, divide is all he does, while denying responsibility for anything that doesn’t go well.
BLM – yay, bring them to the Black House!!
Police – stupid cops, give their families and white America a blaming polemic at their memorial service.

Put a turd in a nice suit with sharp creases, and no matter what you do with him, or where he is, he always stinks.

It takes time, but eventually, it’s easy to understand Obama is explaining how many on this earth want everyone not chosen to lead to live in grass shacks, toil at least 16 hours each day, and provide the necessities of those that can give a rat’s fanny about such things like liberty, and self-sufficiency.

That’s exactly right: Where do you start giving the right of denial to “natives?”

The whole of human history is war and conquest.
He who occupies now can say whatever the sam damned hell he wants to say.
(and my ancestors were those that died of disease and massacre at the hands of Europeans, but only a moron stays stuck in a past he didn’t affect and can’t correct)

That’s the cool thing about being a Leftist ideologue. Everything bad that happens is because of The System™ and can be solved by Utopia.
