Geebus aich kripes!

Last hurrahs from some has-beens
(cringing barf alert)

So, they’re not asking 37 Trump electors to vote for Hillary?
Nope, they want ‘em to vote for “other”, thereby denying Trump a majority.
What happens then? It goes to the House of Representatives.
What will the House do? They’ll elect Trump.
Nothing changes, but at least these jackasses can pat themselves on the back for this second do-over (first do-over was the recounts).

Hey, I have an idea…
To all you Clinton electors,
Do the right thing. Vote for Trump to show your patriotism, placing country over party; and help us unify the country.

Of course, these folks neglected to point out that the Electoral College was mainly designed to protect the smaller states from the larger ones.

However, given that Hillary won the popular vote (officially), to my mind the Electoral College pretty much worked the way these people want it to (i.e. demagogue prevention).

Differences of opinion is why you hold an actual election. Changing the rules afterward is pretty much cheating (see: sedition/coup d’état). Of course, if you consider opposing opinions to be invalid which justifies cheating to prevent; and if you go out there in front’a God’n everbody quoting your opponents’ basic principles as justification for your cheating, then what we have here are arrogant tyrants or psychos or brats (oh my!).

[rubs chin] Hmmm…

    Martin Sheen referencing the Constitution?

That’s a bit like the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei referencing the Book of Matthew

Yeah, they seem to have discovered “The Federalist Papers” too.
I wonder if they’ll read it, now.

If all the Clinton electors voted for Romney, and only 20 Trump electors did…

^1 & 2: It’s a positive that they’re reading the Constitution and the Federalist Papers. If they’re not careful, they might actually learn something.
