Fake but srsly?

MSN appears to be a source of climate fear mongering and “fake climate news” based on their story under the headlines Antarctica hits record high temperature at balmy 63.5°F .

The story was accompanied by what can only be a horribly photo-shopped photograph for the unassuming warmunista of a mushroom-shaped ice form teetering on a rocky outcrop [story]

Don’t remember where I found that, but it’s a few years old.
We’ve all been there.

    ^ Yup, that’s the one!
    Thanks

Cultural refs are neither necessary nor unnecessary.
They are an aid to whippersnappers and future historians of the web, certainly; but mainly, they’re just fun as well as a reminder that not much is ever actually new under the Sun.

Also, I do a lot of crosswords, so obscure cultural associations and puns just come automatically.
