Happy Earth Day

Yes, it’s that time again for the holiest of holy days for the warmenist cult,
where last-week’s sciency-sounding op-ed piece is now holy writ,
where the scientific process, itself, is politicized,
and where the mere existence of weather is justification for the centralized control of economies.

But evidently, this is all justified; because we can’t wait to address the ambiguities, disconnects, contradictions, and uncertainties in the competing postulates about the causes of change (not to be confused with the unchanging nature of those changes throughout history).
We’re all gonna dieee from anthropogenic global warming (or something else, now called climate change; but the sin is still man-made CO2).
No, we need to be certain; and to make it so, we’ll call the science settled.
(See how easy that was?)

We have always been at war with Eastasia
facing a devastating ice age
facing a catastrophic temperature rise

Earth Day
Confusing “Nature’s a b*tch and is trying to kill you 24/7″ with “Mankind’s a threat to Nature” since 1970.

Go hug a tree, today. Srsly
If you live in a building, thank a tree.
If you play a stringed or reed instrument, thank a tree.
If you have a fireplace as a backup to other heating systems, thank a tree.
If you use toothpicks, thank a tree.
If you use TP, thank a tree.
If you get stuff via UPS/FedEx/USPS in a cardboard box, thank a tree.
If you ask for paper rather than plastic, thank a tree.
If you drink coffee, thank a tree.

(What? Yeah, so far so good. We haven’t had to use “Earth Day” as a rallying cry after an invasion by space aliens, yet.)
Note: I’ll leave the other aspects of Earth Day to others

My mistake with the “We’re all gonna dieee” thing.
We should all have died by now.
(What? Yeah, I had forgotten about the nitrogen-buildup bugaboo. *whew!* Dodged a bullet there!)

When you cut down a tree, you have a place to grow another tree! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubWN9yuvqMM

^ I’ve also watched all the tree-cutting-fail videos, and it’s clear that trees can be jerks.
