Lactation-intolerant boobs against sayin’ teats are normal
So, looks like we’ve skipped the childbirth-as-a-gender-role issue and gone straight to nursing.
It’s “ethically inappropriate” for government and medical organizations to describe breastfeeding as “natural” because the term enforces rigid notions about gender roles, claims a new study in Pediatrics.
“Coupling nature with motherhood… can inadvertently support biologically deterministic arguments about the roles of men and women in the family (for example, that women should be the primary caretaker,” the study says. [story]
IOW, Mother Nature, being unarguably good and wise, should not be used in conjunction with icky, unacceptable politicized things. Mother Nature should only be used to justify currently fashionable politicized things.

I don’t even know what the hell they’re talking about. The only thing I suggest is that anyone who does talk like that should spend about 24 hours in the public square confined by some wooden stocks. I apologize in advance for my harsh tone.
^ Ah, that must be due to Claire’s Flungpoo™ dressing.
Pediatrics a very minor league journal imo. the two authors, Jessica Martucci and Anne Barnhill, are not M.D.s
Martucci is a Ph.D. in, are you ready, History & Sociology of Science. She is an historian and gender studies professor.
Barnhill has a Ph.D. in philosophy. Her research focuses on the ethics of public health policy and the ethics of food.
i didn’t know “food” had ethics, but then i didn’t go to Harvard for a postdoctoral fellowship
The ultimate troll would involve several LEOs showing up on their doorsteps. “You’re obviously a nutcase, so we’re here to collect any firearms or other deadly weapons you may have.”
And if they protest, respond by pointing out that the above is consistent with declared Progressive orthodoxy.
“Get on board, sisters!“

Yeah, way out on the four-sigma fringe;
but those kinds are the best subjects for schadenfreude posts.

^ Your new flat-Earthers.
Science deniers???
The two PhDs actually sitting down and writing that article tangentially remind me of what one of my favorite aphorists, the Austrian Marie Freifrau von Ebner-Eschenbach, said, “Alberne Leute sagen Dummheiten. Gescheite Leute machen sie.”
I.e., “Silly people say stupid things, clever people do them.”
It’s been raining like a double……………….oh,…………..never mind.
It’s very hard to keep in step with current Truth.
Where are the regular updates to tell me what I’m supposed to believe? CNN? MSNBC? Bill Nye the Magic Guy?
Science deniers? Imagine that.
