If Kerry had any honor, it went MIA in Vietnam. A less polite society would have keelhauled him a long time ago.

(Nice little touch with the ketchup bottle, Doug. Another one of those almost-snuck-it-by-ya zingers of yours…)

One theory is that Lurch isn’t so much trying to rescue the deal or even undercut the country, but save his own goolies since the mullahs have said goolies in a vice over something really damning. (Spoiler – won’t work.)

I think he’s thinking a diplomatic coup would make him a shoo in for POTUS.
But I also think he’s an idiot. Whnever I think of him I’ll always think of his limp wristed ‘salute’ when he Reported For Duty at the 2004 Dem nomination deal.

Void his passport and declare him persona non grata. He’s so effin’ smart (just ask him, effin’ is his middle initial), he can learn Farsi.

He sucks at everything except gold digging. He married a rich man’s widow, which gave him the cash to run for senate in the bilge water state. It’s just amazing how rich he has become. The lady’s last name was Heinz. Yeah, the mustard. He is a traitor and a certified asshole. The good die young. The screw-ups don’t seem to ever die and stay around just for torment’s sake.

Absolutely a classic. Thank you. That should be the first line of the Declaration of Independence Part 2

    ^ Greetings from Ararat.

Srsly, insignificant winds and moderate, but continuous, rain.
Minor road flooding in all the usual heavy-rain places.
The Sandhills drain pretty well. It’s the rivers that bring the grief.
Lot of hydroelectric dams around here. Haven’t heard of any problems, though.
Lots of people catchin’ hell, alright; but I ain’t one of ‘em.

Also, this is why I don’t go near rivers during flash flood warnings.

    Good to hear, Doug.
I’ll worry when you start talking about pontoons on the ihammock.

^ Yeah, dodged one, or rather it dodged me.
Did a nice loop to the south then west and missed my area.
We only got the outer rain bands for a few days.
    Didn’t even need 4WD.
    Nice, today, blue skies.

Not much to do but re-hang the iHammock, sweep the deck, put the furniture and umbrellas back up, and siphon the rainwater out of the spa cover and possum/raccoons’ kiddie pool. Night critters still ate all the chow I put out, even soggy. Man, bein’ a wild animal must really suck, sometimes. Yay, roofs.
