What did previous mass school shootings teach us about those who make violent threats?

Red Flag sounds like a taking without due process to me. When will we have a Constitutional court case over that?
There also needs to be a big Constitutional suit over the laws that allow police to seize assets before the owner is found guilty. I’ve read that reclaiming the seized property often proves very, very difficult even after the accused has been found innocent.

I need to quote my sixteen year old German exchange student more often, who said during a political conversation we were having in 1987 about East Germany that “The godamned Communists fuck up everything”.
That from a kid who barely spoke English at the time.

Most people, after having their assets seized, after the long, drawn-out legal process has drained most of whatever they might have left, simply can’t afford to continue the fight to try to restore their assets.

In the time it takes to be judged innocent, their assets have been distributed to assorted government agencies or sold at auction, or simply disappeared from the various property lists. Quality weapons especially.

How is the government any different than the skulking thief who kicks in your door and runs off with your property?
